This Main Street restaurant is simply good food with Southern charm. Yes, the Duck Butter which is from a recipe passed down through the generations is truly awesome.

Starkville Cafe is a must to try! The service was great and the food even better. It is your typical breakfast menu, but so tasty. The prices are great and the combinations of items are endless. I had ham, poached eggs, and bacon. The decor is MSU memorabilia from over the years and it is located in the heart of... More

Went for breakfast and the food was good and reasonably priced. The service was also good. The restaurant decor had that nice small town feel. Will definitely return.

This is a café straight from the '40s or '50s. This was our first visit, and it was pretty much what we expected. My wife and I ordered veggie plates, picking three sides each from the choices. I got jalapena slaw (hot, hot), butter beans, greens, and cornbread muffin. She got cream style corn, jambalaya rice, green beans, and yeast... More

Best breakfast (and lunch too)!!!!A favorite is the loaded hash browns! Don't forget to try the duck butter. Love the local feel and very friendly staff. Sort of reminds you of the tv show Cheers (except not a bar), but everyone knows everyone and always leaves happy! A must when in Starkville!!!!!

They have a wonderful blue plate lunch menu. Amazing customer service and clean restaurant. Plan on waiting awhile, especially for breakfast during an MSU football weekend. People come from far and wide to have some of this down home cooking.

This cafe was efficient for lunch. The atmosphere and decor were okay. The service was slow and unfriendly. The food was good. I was excited to try the peach cobbler and when our waitress set our bill down and didn't ask if we wanted dessert or refills... I was done! I'm not sure if I will ever return.

We were running late for breakfast, but chose the Starkville Cafe because it had been so highly recommended to us. We especially wanted to try their duck butter. We placed our orders and guess what? They were out of duck butter! We were highly disappointed because that was one of the main reasons we chose that restaurant. Even though we... More

Starkville Cafe's food is pretty normal diner fare, but combined with its unique, straight-out-of-the-50s atmosphere, it's honestly worth 5 stars, at least to me. And the thing about the food is...it's always done perfectly, even if it is something you've had many times before. I just never walk out with a complaint. Highly recommend.

Sometimes they are a little slow with the food, but the service is top notch and the food is fantastic. I recommend the chocolate chip pancakes, but I've never had a single bad dish, so you're safe with pretty much anything.
