929 has always been the place to go for yummy treats and the best coffee. They have 2 stories which allows room for a crowd. They also employ chefs and bakers for their business-so last month we held our daughter's wedding reception there. The owners helped us with an amazing menu. We hired our favorite bartender and a jazz band... More

Excellent coffee. Also a wide range of other coffee drinks and beer. The bakery items are Amish I believe. They are good. This is a gathering place to study, meet friends, conduct business.

Their Chai lattes are the best- both regular and soy. Every day they have a 10% off special, which can apply to drinks or pastries. My little sisters beg for the sausage muffins anytime we come here. They offered a Cayenne Mocha latte once that was so amazing I am still thinking about it.

Man, oh man, is this place ever populated with the hipsteriest hipsters Mississippi has to offer. That being said, who cares? It also has some of the best coffee and breakfasty treats in the entire golden triangle area. Plus, it's always immaculately clean. Stop in.

This coffee shop has so many little cool touches that people like me appreciate - a wall lined with old baking pans, benches from a train station, a rail cart coffee table, re-tasked plumbing in the bathroom with a recycled glass paned door, school desk table tops, a huge service bay track door that can open up the whole front... Nine-twenty nine is an excellent coffee shop. The atmosphere is very nice. It can get pretty crowded close to finals at MSU. Only complaint would be that the menu is confusing. It doesn't list any flavors. I have yet to try something that I haven't liked.

This place is awesome, super cool atmosphere and great service. Coffee and teas are great quality and prepared expertly by the staff. Service is friendly, and the vibe is so inviting. Students are welcomed to sit and spread out to study, but families and couples are also right at home here. Pastries and other snacks are yummy as well. A... More

I love this coffee shop. Not only do they have amazing coffee, but they also have a great variety of pastries and other items to snack on. When they open the doors when the weather is nice, the atmosphere is amazing. It's a great place to go for a coffee, breakfast, or after dinner. I personally love the quiche and... More

Great mocha, excellent hot cocoa. We also had muffins and sat for a while for a meeting. Lots of traffic in and out but it still didn't get loud in there. Really, really enjoyed my visit - I will be back!

I am originally from Starkville- I had been gone for several years and returned to town to find this coffee shop on main. Oh my gosh! The atmosphere is funky and unique- the lavender iced coffee is enough for me to slap my momma. I recently went back to town and had my boss in tow.. I stopped her in... More
