If the food doesn’t draw you in the art and music will. A great fried food alternative. Also has a lot of lent options.

The owners of this place are awesome people! They ensure the best quality ingredients in each dish. I am sad that they are now only a catering service, however, I completely understand the need to do so. They are high in demand, but the food...is absolutely worth it!More

I bought a quart of the crawfish etouffee and a quart of gumbo to take home. My wife and I had the etouffee for dinner and it was great.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. I asked if it was possible to order several half orders so I could try different dishes. They all sounded good. I was emphatically told, "No!" There were 4 of us, and we each ordered a different...item on the menu so we could shared. I asked if we could have some extra plates for sharing. Again, I was told, "No!" We only have the styrofoam contaners. The individual behind the counter was rude and did not represent the business well. After ordering, you have to go outside into another section of the building for seating. It was a large room with picnic style and patio tables. The music was far too lound, and it just didn't work. The counter person brought our styrofoam containers over to us. Food just doesn't taste good in those type of containers. Thek food was hot, but there wasn't anything special about it. The food was good, but for down home Southern style food, we were disappointed. It was bland not appealing, everything looked like glop. At $10 per menu item, they could do better. I wouldn't go back, but if you are in a hurry, or prefer carry out, it beats fast food.More

We used to love Darwell’s even before he opened this location. He does have the best Crawfish étouffée but he and his wife are very critical of the city they work and live in

The crawfish étouffée is very yummy. A great place to stop for a fast served lunch that is high quality and extremely tasty.

Chef Darnell and Wife and Daughter have a Gem in Pearl that should not be missed. The Cajun is extra special, the desserts are amazing and the Chefs stories are riveting. Go there.

Stopped by Darwell’s on the way to the airport. Had the 2 for $15 Special, easily enough food for two people. Had the crawfish ettoufee and shrimp and sausage gumbo. Fantastic comes with a 4 slices of French bread and 2 drinks. Great food and...Great people, will definitely be back when I am in Jackson.More
