We have been going to the Rusty Pelican for years. It was one of the first places in the area to reopen after Hurticane Katrina. They offer quite a few asian dishes but we never get around to trying them- we stick to the catfish platters and oysters. The gumbo here is quite good as well. One thing that is... More

We have been to the Rusty Pelican about 6 times now (we moved to Long Beach back in August of 2015) and have not had an experience other than great. We've had breakfast and lunch. It's all good. The Asian spin that is incorporated into the menu is wonderful. Good, good folks running this little place. The fresh beignet's and... More

Went here before Mardi Gras parade with family. Staff attentive. Omelets with breakfast meats delicious. Awesome biscuits. Great pancakes! Reasonably priced

Before Hurricane Katrina wiped this restaurant off the face of the earth in 2005, I used to visit almost every day for breakfast. I was devastated when the hurricane destroyed it. A few years later, the owner rebuilt on Beatline Road in Long Beach. I am back to eating there most every day. My regular meal consists of the breakfast... More

We always try to support the local businessess when we travel, and this is as good as it gets. The ownner loses her business to Katrina, but battles on to start over. Prices are reasonable, the biscuits are really fresh and home made should you choose a breakfast sandwich. I am sure we will visit again for a lunch or... More

Took by Son and 3 grand children there after church. One is 2 years old, the other two are 9 and 11. The bill for us was $50.00 and the sandwiches were all bread and no meat. Service was slow and not real attentive.

OK, but only went once and have not returned. Probably because at the time I went it was nothing special and in a strange location...

Stopped in last time I was in Long Beach. The food was good and portions were fine. Good place to stop in for lunch. Would go there again.
