Lunch and dinner specials change daily, with Chicken Salad "Your Way" (as a salad, wrap or on ciabatta)on Mondays and Soft Shell Crab fried golden on Ciabatta with Smoked Chipotle Mayo, lettuce & tomato on Fridays. Maison De Lu offers gluten free items and an extensive wine list, ask your server for more information. Make sure to try Chef Luann Ellis's signature dish, the fourteen ounce, Center Cut Bone-In Pork Chop du Jour. This tender, succulent chop is brined all day and very satisfying.

Charming French Restaurant

We had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant! Starting w/ Bloody Marys was the way to go and were almost a meal in themselves - garnished w/ crispy bacon, asparagus, pickled okra, green olive, and black olive stuffed w/ bleu cheese. The coconut shrimp was a delicious appetizer served w/ a pineapple/horseradish dipping sauce. My entree was the Frenchtown salad w/ grilled shrimp which was very good, and my husband enjoyed the French panini. Service, ambience, and good food made this a dining experience worth returning to enjoy again!

A foodie haven with warmth and charm; quietly sophisticated.

As a local, it has been a year or so since our last visit. Last night's dinner was worthy of this rave review. From a special pour of Weller's Antique 107 and my special Hendrick's martini by bartender Jose to a meal attentively served by Tara, it was a special evening. Our meal: goat cheese stuffed escargot, entrees of veal cutlets and a generous portion of lamb chops ending with a duo dessert of chocolate mocha pot de creme with a frozen coconut caramel tart accompanied by a nice choice of wines by the glass. The warm and friendly atmosphere definitely means we'll be back more frequently. When you see solo women, couples of all ages, polished seniors, and both locals and visitors on a Tuesday evening, you understand the appeal of Maison de Lu. A foodie haven with warm friendly service for 1 or 12, fabulous bartender, friendly staff who work as a team, and diet killer desserts. Just delighted it's in my hometown.

Went for dinner on Saturday night. The menu was limited. The salmon was undercooked except for the edges. We were expecting mashed potatoes as ordered but were brought dried, burnt potato wedges. The roasted beets were delicious. The best part of the meal was dessert. Some type of coconut crust with gelato and whipped cream. It was very good. Also we had the bread pudding which was very good. Should have just stuck with dessert because the rest of the meal was average at best and very overpriced.

Quaint restaurant, great find

Ocean Springs, Mississippi is a quiet town on the gulf. In the old downtown area Maison de Lu serves wonderful food with sidewalk tables on a shady street. Service was great and friendly. Drinks were very good. Try the bloody Mary. The fried shrimp flavorful and fresh. We'll be back.

What a disappointment. It might be the Pandemic but right now this restaurant is. Non French expensive disaster.

What a disappointment. It could be the pandemic, but this is not the delicious restaurant I remember from early last year. The prices are outrageous. The portions are minuscule. The hanger steak was about 3 oz. and very tough. the fish special not more than 3 oz. it was overcooked and tasted mushy. I don’t like large portions but these minuscule ones verged on the ridiculous. The prices are way out of line, especially for the mediocrity of the food. None, and I repeat none of the menu had a hint of French cuisine. The only praise I have is for the desert - an icebox lemon tart, delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant doesn’t have espresso or any kind of coffee other than the kind of American coffee served at diners. They also had no tea. No bread was served.

Ambiance is good - we sat outside not quite close enough to feel the fireplace. Food was pretty good. Chef could do much more with beets besides serving them cut into little cubes. Fresh? Frozen? Canned? Lamb chops were cooked properly and nicely seasoned. Service was friendly but seriously lacking. 2 out 5 for service. Dessert offerings are boring.

Lovely Outdoor Dining Experience

My husband and I brought our two young children with us for dinner at Maison de Lu on a family trip. We ate outside in the beautiful, bistro-lighted courtyard. The staff were all friendly to us and to our children. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. My husband had lamb, my oldest son and I each had the grouper special, and my little one had fried shrimp. Everything was delicious. Maison de Lu has a nice wine selection as well. We will definitely come back.

Nice upscale restaurant with fresh, tasty food.

We went without a reservation and were lucky enough to get seated. Make a reservation! The food was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and tasted fresh. We had the pork chop and salmon. The service was top notch. Attentive, but not in our way. The drinks were very good as well. Nice upscale restaurant in Ocean Springs!

Our waitress was Jessica L. I’ve never been so upset with service. The non-caring attitude of this person was unbelievable!! I don’t often lose it and I always tip even when service or food may not be right. But, this person should find another job outside the service industry! I will not go back!

We ate lunch at the bar twice during our evacuation from Hurricane Ida. We had great service from both bartenders. The food was absolutely fabulous. The coleslaw was a winner. Chicken Salad Sandwich, Pressed French Panini, and the homemade French fries. Everyone was very nice and sympathetic to us about our plight.

The perfect storm!

The weather was terrible. Taking refuge in beautiful Maison de lu, we were immediately mesmerized by the infectious atmosphere. The food was amazing; every bite was five star!! Great staff, fun evening, and stellar food. Loving Ocean Springs!!

Southern hospitality and good food

We happened to cruise through the area on a travelling vacation during an annual art festival in Ocean Springs. We were warmly welcomed in as we walked by the area just checking it out. Food and drinks were great, came out fast, and were served with greatness. The tunes were Pandora INXS channel 80s. The back outdoor area is perfectly quaint.

Stopped by during happy hour and sat at the bar. Met Jose(bartender) and gave some recommendations which we took and were very impressed. Decided to sit at the bar and eat and couldnt have been a better night. The fish and pork chop plates were outstanding. Will definitely be making this one of our new stops on our restaurant rotation.

Best Ever

A very important family dinner so well planned by Ryan the Owner. We were lucky enough to be by the fireplace on the patio. Ribeye steak to die for and really good trout as an alternate. Add great salads and unbelievable desert and it was the perfect evening. Been all over the country, but NEVER EVER, had a better meal. Impeccable service by Arthur and the staff, made it a truly enchanting evening, we did not want it to end. Thanks to all at Maison De Lu👍👍
