Our group of 3 friends visited Charred for the Tuesday special, Prime Rib. We sat on the patio and waited 10 minutes before one of us went inside to get a server. Several minutes later, a server came to our table. Two prime ribs were...ordered. The server asked how I wanted mine and I replied”as rare as possible”. My friend ordered his rare also. She returned with two plates. My prime rib was well done as was my friends. I didn’t taste mine because when I cut into it, I could see that it was WAY overcooked! My friend tasted his and his was also well done and COLD! We told the server our problems with the dish and she took them away. Within 2-3 minutes, she returned with our original steaks and said”The chef said ‘These are as rare as he has’”. She set the plates in front of us. Obviously, we refused and left. Apparently, these steaks are precooked, definitely NOT to order! It was the “special”. I guess everyone else who ordered prime rib after our 5 o’clock dining time had to be happy with well done, cold prime rib. We were so looking forward to dining on the patio at Charred, who was in the running for one of the top steak restaurants on the Coast. What a disappointment!😩More

This restaurant has a prime rib special on Tuesday. Our group ordered 2 RARE prime ribs. We when received our plates, both of them were well done and COLD. We informed the waitress and she took them back. She immediately returned with the SAME plates...and told us the chef said that those steaks were as rare as he had. It’s a shame that what we heard of this supposedly “upscale” restaurant can’t cook a steak to order. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. There are so many wonderful places to eat at in ocean springs.More

So, we found this place by a recommendation. We didn't know about this little downtown / old town area. This area is very cute. We lucked out and found parking right in front. We found a table outside, which was Very nice, quiet and cozy....We had two waitresses and they were very attentive and helpful. We asked about the fried caprese? What? Fried? Well, only the ball of cheese is fried. She said it is quite a hit and many people order it. We took a chance and ordered it. When it came to the table, we attacked it and let me tell you, it was very good. The cheese was not exactly melty. The little tomatoes were tasty with the Arugula. Our next order was 2 filet, oysters and the prime rib. The filets were a bit small but prepared just right. Medium rare. They really sear their steaks. Good flavor. Do yourself a favor and order the larger filet. 1 dozen oysters. Our people said the oysters were awesome and Fresh. They could have done a few more, they were so good. I ordered the prime rib, medium rare. Disappointment was immediately. The meat was medium. Whatever the weight, half was fat. Big chunks of fat. Yea, I know this cut has fat. That is flavor. But for that price, I want more, edible meat. The dish came with mash potato and asparagus. I asked for horseradish but they had a creamy one on the meat already. The mash was very good and flavorful. Drinks were pretty good. In all, the food was good. Mine was mediocre. The chairs, ah, the chairs. These were the most uncomfortable chairs that i have sat in. The women complained that they felt like they were going to fall over the back. Nobody liked these chairs. That's why the 4 stars. I don't know what the inside seating and atmosphere were like so, sorry if this is your favorite place. This was my experience on this day. We probably won't have a chance to try again and see if maybe this was a one off. There are too many good restaurants and good experienced that we had during this trip, so I can't highly recommend this place for prime rib but the other cuts were good. If we were in town again for a few days, I would try again. Good luck.More

Their combo plate is delicious - 3 each of French Onion, Sweet & Spicy Oriental, Bacon & Blue Cheese, Rockefeller, and Parmesan Herb for a reasonable price. Also have great Margaritas. It opens at 2PM so there were several patrons waiting, but seated quickly. Service...was quick, efficient and moderately friendly. Clean, upscale decor with amazing lighted "tree" in bar area.More

$30 for a 5 oz "aged" filet. Not prime or choice, just aged. When I asked the waitress how "aged" it was, she said that she had only been working there for 2 months, and she did not know. My fish came on "pasta," which...turned out to be a nasty mac and cheese. Do not waste your time or money with this disaster of a restaurant.More

We tried Charred for the first time last night and will definitely be back! The oysters were huge and fresh. The crab cake had an excellent, spicy sauce. And the aged ribeye was perfectly cooked and flavorful. We for ours topped with scallops, and they...were huge and so fresh! Great experience!More

We were told to stop by here by another business. We had a few drinks and a dozen oysters, oysters were excellent! The bartender was very friendly. I’d love to come back and have uber when in the area again.

What a great spot. My wife and I have been coming here since we moved here. The oysters are wonderful and salty. Our favorite bartender is Tori. Ask for her! And raw oysters!

Certainly one of your Covid era favorites. Outside seating available, creative excellent food, staff all wearing masks. Together we keep returning time after time.

Every Wednesday they offer a $10 filet and mashed potato special along with happy hour drinks and appetizers (like half priced oysters). Great deal and always good. Service is good too.

We stopped in here last Fall. We come to Biloxi many times during the year but was our first venture over to OS. Someone suggested checking out the are and Charred. We went over, parked and stopped in there first thing in the afternoon for...a cocktail and to get our bearings. We planned to eat there later. We weren't greeted and they acted like we were "in the way". Finally, after asking two employees where the bar was located, they pointed to the back. Obviously the first person we asked was the bartender. She came back, there was no drink menu and she just said, tell her what we wanted. I ordered a drink, since we were there, my husband did not!! She quickly informed us before we ordered that we could get drinks in "to go" plastic cups. We would have normally had a few drinks each, then stayed for dinner but we were clearly in the way. We will be back in town tomorrow, for the week but not sure I can give it another try.. was our first experience in OS, so we haven't been back to the area. Hope to try somewhere different in the area before writing off the area. Really want to love this quaint neighborhood and shops....More

What an incredibly miserable experience after being a patron for several years . If you have absolutely 3-4 hours for a great afternoon to just wait doe food , service , and even management that never showed then here is the place to go! The...chef showed , the lead whatever for the day showed , management never did. Food never did! Soooo dissappointed. Apparently new owners don’t care . What a sad time for such a great place to enjoy. Can’t even get through via email , web or social media. That is a true tell tale sign of management is just money only. Soo sad ... it won’t last long Inspite of some of the staff that cares . Sooo, that means don’t bother going to bacchus on the beach in the pass , or charred in ocean springs, and wherever else the nicaud family owns . They don’t seem to care about the customer just the almighty dollar. So sad charted is not the same . Will never be back.More

The menu is small but everything is very well prepared. I have never had anything bad. They have great desserts too.
