Went here because Half Shell was packed and was pleasantly surprised. Very good food and very good environment.

This restaurant is a great alternative to the one everyone usually goes to downtown. I found the food to taste great, service was excellent and priced more competitive. I had broiled seafood and my husband had fried. Give it a try!

The atmosphere is very up scale. Don't come straight from the beach save it for after you get dressed up. The food is delicious and save room for the chocolate explosion cake.

The service was good and in timely matter of receiving drinks and food. The steaks we ordered were cooked to our liking. I enjoyed the house salad. The bread that you receive was a little hard it might be how the bread suppose to be IDK but it would've taste better if it was warm and soft....

The menu is rather extensive with combination of steak and seafood items that have a gulf coast flair. The food was ok but did not particularly impress. I also found that the setting was a bit on the loud side, with large screen TVs contributing. This made it difficult to carry on conversations with all members of our party (6... More

We sat at the bar a busy Saturday with the college football going on. The bartender was also our server and did an amazing job. The drinks were good. We had crawfish bread, fried green tomatoes and steaks. All were good. The downs side was key lime pie was not homemade. In general this is an above average place, but... More

The Lookout was a good choice for our business meeting meal. There is a private upstairs dining area which overlooks the main dining room. The food was very good, I had a ribeye steak which was cooked as ordered and topped with a crawfish and shrimp topping. The side veggies were overpowered by the red onions, so I skipped them.... I've eaten here since they were located in a different area of town and named "Lookout 49." At our most recent visit, as always, we had great service. The food is always tasty as well. One of my faves is the fried green tomatoes. The baked/broiled flounder is great; enough for two people. And, my family enjoys the shrimp alfredo... More

The after Katrina renovation of the Gulfport Historical District is an architectural gem. This restaurant is located in one of its beautiful old buildings, a prior bank, and the inside is the typical modern conversion: exposed bricks, high ceilings, large windows, smart decor and stylist tableware. The atmosphere is relaxed, spiffy, casual. The menu is extensive (beef/seafood) and interesting. As newcomers, we ordered the Cajun Pasta Supreme w/salad. Good food, great value, but what makes this place outstanding is the dedicated attention to detail - delicious hot bread, piping hot steak fries right from the fryer, a small salad with impeccable presentation with tomato relish and smoked Gouda to boot... Grand. And the service - a courteous, professional young waiter who anticipated our desires (good staff has this ability) and fulfilled them effective and expeditiously. Truly endearing. Places like this make our escapades from New Orleans to the Gulf beaches a true joy. Of course, we'll return
