My friends and I went to Doe's for a birthday dinner. We ordered their ribeye medium rare. When we received our steaks, they were completely charred and greasy on the outside and rare on the inside. I asked to send it back and the waitress mentioned the cook had left after cooking our dinner, so nothing could be done. I... More

This was recommended to us for the fantastic food - and it was a great steak and sides. The place is a mess. (As another review said "it would be condemned in some places). You walk in from outside into the kitchen! Staff very friendly - you can't miss them as you have to go through the kitchen to get... More

If you are in the Delta, this is a must stop. I suspect that this structure would be condemned in most cities, but it works well!! (Watch your step as the floors are a bit uneven:)) Don't be put off by the no menu thing and BYOB wine, you should go with the flow and enjoy. Steak (2 lb Bone-In... More

this quaint "EAT PLACE" was all we expected, having seen it on Antony Bourdain CNN we ordered tamales and the filet, the 2lb bone rib eye was just too big, or so we thought. We sat right in the kitchen with huge pots of french fries bubbling on the stove, with pots of chili and frying shrimp, the floor is worn... The steaks were good but the salads were not much more than iceburg and oil and the fried were soggy. Since there were no menus, the waitress just told us what they had (three steak choices, two shrimp choices, and spaghetti). We got two 10 oz. steaks and spaghetti and our bill was $167 without tip. My husband had three... More

Very run down building. They do not have a menu, and frustrated when asked what they have. If you sit in the kitchen you see them working and washing dishes. In the summer it is very hot, only window units. There is not a parking lot, you park on the street. Sketchy neighborhood, there is a security guard watching vehicles... More

This is the coolest no frills restaurant ever! We had the bone in ribeyes and they were broiled to perfection. Yes, it's expensive, but well worth it to enjoy a high quality steak with a one of a kind atmosphere.

Okay, I like history, dives, unusual places to visit. I have been wanting to go to Doe's for sometime because I had watched numerous episodes about it on television. When my wife and I decided to do a southern excursion we stayed with friends in Benoit and make it to Doe's for dinner. First, it is not in a great... More

This is truly one of the great, interesting, fun and delicious restaurants anywhere. It has a fascinating history that you can read on its website and sometimes there is a sheet with it on it at the table. There are no menus. Basically you just ask the waitress what steak they've got that will serve however many people you've got... More
