Whenever I end up in Jackson, MS I MUST go by Primos Bakery. I'm in love with their Gingerbread men! I live in Florida so I usually buy all they have!! On my last visit I decided to try a piece of caramel cake! Oh my!!! To die for!! Now that is added to my (gotta have) list!

My extended family tried to eat here at about 12:30 PM one Saturday. The restaurant was packed but we were eventually able to put several tables together. The most alarming this was that the waiters and kitchen staff delivering the food were not very friendly. While waiting they acted like you were in there way even though they could have... More

On a recent overnight trip to Jackson I enjoyed having breakfast at Primos, a place I have enjoyed since college days in the 60s (same name, same family, different location). They have a great breakfast and know how to do grits "just right". Highly recommend.

I have met here mostly every Friday Morning with a group of my friends for Bible Study Breakfast. The larger booths provide room for as many as 8 people without crowding. This restaurant appears to be very popular with others enjoying a similar experience, but it can occasionally be a little on the loud side when near to very Full,... More

Primos is one of Jackson, Mississippi's favorite restaurants! This counter service establishment has an "old timey" feel to it and their slogan is "serving Southern food to city folks", which I love. Primos serves breakfast all day and offers lunch specials during the work week. Their sweet tea is killer, plus you get to keep the cup. If you are... More

I have only visited Primos once so I still need additional visits to make a firm assessment. Primos is very busy, customers appear to swarm to this Restuarant. Their prices are fair and they have a great selection. The food is tasty and we enjoyed it. Primos# 1 draw for me is their desserts! They have the best desserts around.... More

I eat here often and have never had a bad experience. The biscuits and gravy are yummy for breakfast and for lunch the chicken tenders can not be beat. This is a place where you go to the front, pick up a paper menu and order at the counter. If you go sit down or wait to be seated, you'll... More

The Primos family have had a culinary presence in Jackson going back to the 50s. The two Primos cafes now carry on this tradition. The food ranges from blue plate specials to great salads, sandwiches, entrees and weekly features ( almost all deliciously prepared.) Favorite place for breakfast and lunch. Lunch can be quite crowed on some days. Thursday is... More
