Dinner on the back deck is one of our special treats when we visit. My husband enjoys the oysters on the half shell and the shrimp poboy. For me it's the muffletta with a cup of gumbo. Cold beer tops it all off

I have to guess they may no longer be in business. If someone knows something different please let me know as we're heading there end of April.

We were very happy to discover this gem on our drive with the Hot Rod Power tour. We wanted some fresh local seafood and they didn't disappoint. We sat outside by the bayou so ambiance perfect. Oysters Rockefeller were well prepared with perfect amount of spinach and not overwhelmed by cheese. Fried shrimp delicious. Just right amount of breading and... More

Mikey's on the Bayou is amazing. Saw review on trip adv, wrong phone no on internet. Checked into hotel and found out still open. New no. 228-818-9194. Great oysters!! 7/doz awesome soft shell crabs and onion rings. Super chunky batter, zero grease! Service was friendly & attentive. Nice experience would return often!

Mikeys on the Bayou has hands down the best fried shrimp on the coast, but unfortunately, not a real family place being too close to the bar and loud music. I go there for a fried shrimp fix but nothing else. The baked potatoes are probably a few days old. If they could get rid of the bar it would... More

One of the locals suggested we try Mikies on the Bayou. It was about 15 minutes away and worth the drive. Sitting on the bayou...very pretty area. Generous seatfood platters for $20 are you kidding me? The food was Very good.

Everyone said this place was great, but it really was not, in my experience. The food was EXPENSIVE (i.e., not much under $20) for your basic fried shrimp and fish. I ordered the crab platter, and it was mediocre at best. Next time, I'll go to Aunt Jenny's instead.

I never visit the Biloxi area without stopping at Mikey's for happy hour and a dozen oysters. Oysters are advertised at "market price," but during happy hour that usually means $3 - $5 a dozen. The beer is cold and the atmosphere is redneck rustic. Have a dozen oysters and the seafood bread, then follow it off with a shrimp... More

The largest oysters with the best flavor opened right in front of your eyes by the business owner himself. We travel often, eat raw oysters everywhere including - recently (Aug 2, 2009) in VA Beach - but no one can come close to the quality and especially the price of this place. The oysters at several VA Beach Restaurants were... More
