This place is super cute and nice. The food is just okay though. Being from Louisiana and knowing what a true beignet tastes like I'd say the beignets were not good here and I hope anyone eating them here doesn't think thats what they really...More

This establishment has always been top-notch. Their first facility was quaint, but this new building is even more wonderful. And while the old library now looks eclectic, what the owner and staff is doing inside is even more amazing. First of all, the service is...More
Husband and I enjoyed a stop here for coffee and beignets. The atmosphere is very laid-back, and the architecture of the building is gorgeous. I always love a little history with my meal! Husband loved the coffee, and asks to come back here often.
Thought we would try this place since we live here and have heard so much about them ans their great beignets. I have eaten beignets many times at many places and I have to say these were the worst I have ever had. I find...More

hey, the only hotel with balconies around there is the GN. it has really gone downhill over the past year. However, the answer to your question is yes, it is possible to get a balcony room away from the air conditioners if you book a room on the west side of the hotel. You now have a choice between the ac units (east side) or a new hotel being built on the west side. It is major construction and it faces all the rooms on the west side of the GN. It is extremely active/noisy all day.
