I've eaten in The Tain Café on three occasions. Each time I was struck by how pleasant and accommodating the staff were. It is great to see people enjoying their work. The food is very good, they have a pretty extensive menu (including vegetarian options) and an all day breakfast. The value is excellent. I would strongly recommend making a... More

A great place to have a quick meeting, catch up with friends, or learn some Celtic lore. The food is cooked fresh to order, there is a great value all day breakfast, and many other tasty bits to eat. The staff are friendly and welcoming and know a thing or two about Queen Maeve and the High Kings of Connacht.

I attended the workshop with a certain amount of trepidation but there was no need. It was so inspiring - from the first lecture to the last. If you are considering a workshop, or just a coffee and a browse, it is welcoming and warm - like an embrace from the ancestors.

Great range for a tiny place - all day breakfast, lunches (soup, simple sandwiches, some hot dishes) kids' menu, good range of coffees. Mike 'the middle man' was incredibly kind and friendly and will even share his knowledge of the local history if you ask. This place is well worth a stopover heading east-west.... Great to see it open in... More

We had a bite to eat while waiting for our tour of the complex to start. The menu is simple but the food is prepared with attention to detail and very delicious.

Called into the Tain way to Westport and got more than a surprise, pleasant and friendly staff . The food was freshly cooked , tea and coffee while they prepared the lunch and top ups thru out . Kids loved the experience and good selection for them, would loved to have spent longer but next time we will .
