We went to Signatures for Taps on Tuesday. Our server was Brittany F. I have to tell you- She was the best-in town. She was very polite and very knowledgable on menu and bar. She also encouraged the upcoming events. If you can- request her...for your server.More

I can't believe we haven't been here in the four years our daughter has been in school. Discovered this on line. Excellent service and I might say the best food we've had in town. We will definitely be back.

Signatures has a great atmosphere and the food is fantastic. Last time I was here I had the Chicken Oscar with hollandaise sauce and green beans. The entree was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. For dessert I had a slice of cheesecake. This is hands...down the best cheesecake I have ever had. If you want a fine dining experience in Winona, Signatures is the place to go.More

I brought my friends here for a birthday meal. It was a cold, dark afternoon, but The Grill was cheerfully bright, and there was a fire in the fireplace. I enjoyed a large chef salad. It was too big to eat in one sitting, so...I took some of it home to eat later. My friend tried the lobster salad on a croissant. It was so good. My other friendhad ribs and fries. We were offered dessert but we declined. The servers are very helpful and nice.More

My husband and I had a 6:15 dinner reservation and we arrived a few minutes early We could see the restaurant was busy and we were invited to have a drink in the bar while we waited. We looked at the large collection of autographed...items in the hallway from the entrance as well as the bar. It was at our reservation time but we decided to have a drink and pay for it so we could go to our table when summoned. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender. We both ordered martinis and sat on the uncomfortable high stools. And we waited. And waited. We were beginning to wonder what was going on at 45 minutes past our reservation time. We and the bartender had thoroughly run out of things to talk about. A few minutes after this we were finally seated. So more than 45 minutes after our reservation we were seated. That merits a "2" rating. Then we sat awhile and finally our server showed up. He was very nice and turned out to be a very good server, but I feel he had too many tables and too many highly demanding guests! Very little time was spent on us that evening. It appeared that service preference was being given to two tables of eight who seemed to be corporate guests. I ordered a glass of Silver Cabernet ($12), my husband a glass of Domaine Malbec ($8). The wine was very reasonably priced and good. Also, it was very obvious that the kitchen had been swamped and was very, very behind. It took awhile to get an appetizer ordered, and that took a solid half hour to have served. We ordered the Artisan Cheese Plate ($16). That included 3 cheeses, bread, crackers and fruit. We had a blue cheese, red grapes, dried cranberries, manchego, shelled pistachios, honey, a sliced pear, and a small amount of another cheese. It was beautifully presented and was very good. It also gave us a way to kill time until our waiter was ready to take our entree order; he had signalled that he couldn't take it yet. We finally were able to put in our orders. My husband ordered the Stuffed Pork Loin 24, which was a pan-seared pork loin stuffed with fig stuffing and French carrots, and topped with a maple black pepper bacon chutney ($32). He added four shrimp for $10 extra. I ordered the Bacon-wrapped Tenderloin, served with sautéed Yukon golds, green beans, red onion, and spinach tossed in a feta pan sauce and herbed demi glaze ($38). I also added 4 shrimp for an extra $10. We were served a raspberry sorbet from the chef while waiting for the food. It was excellent. It took a LONG time to get our entrees. We had run out of things to say, and the panoramic view of the golf course was now dark except for some lighting. We didn't want to drink any more as it was now obvious we would be driving in the dark back to the Alexander Mansion; a drive in a dark, unfamiliar area. Finally we did get our meals. My husband's pork loin was overcooked and dry. All of the shrimp were overcooked as well. The tenderloin was good but not amazing. Neither plate was that warm. Overall, we were not terribly impressed with the entrees. The server took the price of the lesser glass of wine of our tab ($8) because of the slow service. Our credit card was not run until 8:45; our reservation had been 6:15. We missed an entire evening in front of the fire with other guests at the mansion we were staying at. Honestly, the price of one of the meals should've been deducted. When averaged out, this experience was a 2 1/2, but I marked a 3. I would not go back.More

We enjoyed a very delicious meal, well presented and served, to celebrate my daughter's 20th birthday. The server was great, and everything on that score was spot on. The menu is not huge (as you would expect), but sufficient variety to suit everyone in our...party. My only complaint was not the fault of the restaurant....the boorish behavior from the table next to ours. They were very critical of the time they perceived they needed to 'wait' for their food...and made sure everyone in the area knew about it. Just a hint to anyone coming here: expect it to take a couple of hours. Relax and enjoy the wonderful food, exceptional service and the delightful ambiance. If you want food served quickly (and want to wear your sweatpants and ball cap in the restaurant...I'm looking at you table next to ours), you might consider Applebees or Taco Bell.More

We took our relatives to Signatures for their 50th Anniversary Dinner, our waitress could not have been more helpful or informative about the menu. We were seated by a window, overlooking the golf course which was super beautiful. Most of our order was amazing and...tasty but the steaks for two of our guests were pretty much raw. Now, you ask, why not send them back, well, you know how that goes, the steaks get recooked and when they arrive at the table everyone else is done eating. I don't mind spending over $200 for a meal for 4 but not in this circumstance.More

We are not demanding diners but it has been awhile since we found everything about a restaurant experience to be perfect. We had that perfect experience at Signatures restaurant. We were on a driving trip from Chicago to Vancouver, B.C. and looking for our first...dinner stop. After consulting TA, we chose Signatures in Winona, MN. Set on a golf course, the restaurant features an expansive wall of windows that looks out over rolling hills, water features and forested bluffs. Virtually every well spaced, white linen covered table has a clear view. Immediately upon being seated, diners receive a bread basket offering three types of bread, all of which were excellent. We each began with soup (chicken/wild rice and corn chowder). While the former was particularly notable for the quantity of wild rice, both soups were tasty and well seasoned. Our entrees were walleye and roasted halibut. Both fish were pristinely fresh, perfectly cooked and well seasoned as were the accompanying sides. Of particular note is that the walleye contained not one bone. Also, what most restaurants cite as wild rice is actually wild rice pilaf. At Signatures, the diner receives all wild rice. Service throughout the meal was professional yet friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. You should also know that Signatures offers a permanent "special" provided on its walls rather than a plate. That is, the name of the restaurant is reflected in the signed memorabilia displayed in the bar area and corridors. On display are items such as a guitar signed by the Beach Boys; a fiddle autographed by Charlie Daniels; the hand written lyrics of "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King; a post-card signed by both Ray Kroc and Harlan Sanders; a note from Humphrey Bogart to Lauren Bacall; and many other items. Signatures provides not just a good meal, but a great experience.More

Sorry this was very disappointing. We wanted steak so we went to the Signature. When we walked in not only did we have to stand there forever we were asked by three different staff if we knew where we were. I guess we were not...there normal customer. Jeans, T-shirts and under 60 yrs of age. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come to our table then another 10 to get a drink. We were there for about 2 hours and most of that time was waiting. We chose the ribeyes which were fine but not cooked to order. Had a few potatoes a carrot and a couple of asparagus on the plate for $40+ dollars each. We have actually spent more on a steak dinner and it was worth every penny. This plate was not. I would not recommend this place. Would like to say the waitress was lovely and apologized several times.More
