I brought a book down to the cafe and enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a homemade croissant and a decaf americano. Great staff and great food. Enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio and reading my book for a nice slow easy morning

We had a full day of hiking and wanted to have some comfort food to go...Sapori Di Sicilia was the right choice! The staff was so friendly, offered us water as we waited for our takeout, explained all the different types of beautiful homemade breads...and gave us tastings of their amazing gelatos! We took home generous portions of the agnello/lamb pasta which was delicious...tender lamb, beautifully cooked homemade pasta and a light sauce of olive oil, tomatoes, olives and spices - perfect on a hot day, not too heavy. We also got the pesto pistachio pasta with chicken. Again, generous portion with perfectly grilled chicken with a sauce that was addicting! All that with some fresh oregano and caramelized onion rolls and a focaccia and we were very happy campers! And the price was fantastic for the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed, so kudos to the Sapori crew for a delicious meal. We look forward to seeing you again while in Winona and we would highly recommend this place for authentic, delicious Italian food!More

What a hidden gem in Winona. The food was fantastic we had a large group for a birthday party so everyone ordered something different it was all wonderful! The fresh baked breads were great with wine and dinner. Very friendly people! Would highly recommend.

We were very pleased to see this cafe downtown. There is parking on the street outside the door. The restaurant was clean, new, and the food was tasty. Since it is a Sicilian restaurant, the food is spicier than Italian. Knowing this fact, we ordered...pasta - Sugo, not listed as spicy. It was spicier than we would have liked, but still enjoyable. The bread looked very good, but the two types of rolls we chose had little taste. Ordering takes place at the counter for take out or eat in. We split one order and had enough for another day for each of us. Huge servings!More

My husband and I love authentic Italian food. We were so excited to find this restaurant while visiting Winona! Decided to give it a try and, very happy we did. Our food was absolutely delicious. The restaurants employees were so helpful in making entree choices....We met the owner, whom is the chef, and he shared he did his culinary training in Sicily. Wish we had this restaurant near where we live, so many interesting entrees on the menu to try. For sure we would be regular customers.More

We had a party of 6 couples that ate here last Saturday night. The wait staff was very good and answered any questions we had. My husband and I shared the Agnello, which was fantastic. Everyone at our table commented how good their food was,...where it was a sandwich, soup, or entre. Gelato for dessert topped off our great meal. We will come again when we are in the areaMore

Lived most of my life in Brooklyn, but was born in Sicily, and this is maybe some of the best and closest I have ever had for the price. With the elegant name I was surprised it was a cafe and not a sit down...restaurant but it clearly does not sell cafe quality food, so as to say it is certainly a step above and beyond what a person would expect to get from a cafe serving pasta, sandwiches and gelato. The bread is on par maybe even better than some bakeries in Sicily. I am just in awe at this place. Wish I lived closer to make this a regular stop of mine... I wouldn't eat bread from anywhere else!More

We got a order to go. One order of Agnello (Pasta and lamb in olive oil), a couple Bocconcino's (small crusty rolls) and two desserts (Tiramisu and Cheesecake Nutella). The pasta was one serving and as we expected, plenty for two people. If you are...a big eater that may not be the case but we often share one meal - especially pasta dishes and find it is enough. The lamb was really tender and well seasoned and the olive oil marinade was just right. The Bocconcino's needed a 15 second zap in the microwave as they were a tad hard but once we warmed them up in the microwave, they were very good. I would order this dish again - it was that good. The desserts were okay. I find the Tiramisu had a odd after taste - but my husband enjoyed it and the Cheesecake was a bit of a mess, i.e., wasn't a solid piece but broken up. I think they could skip the Nutella and it would be a lot better! They have a Cheesecake Mascarpone - which is what I wanted, but they were out of it when I made this order. I will likely skip the desserts next time we order and just get the pasta and rolls. All in all, the total was under $20 and two people ate well! On another note - be mindful if you have a to-go order - it is a bit confusing to get in this place. The print out I had from the online order said to go to the Fourth St. entrance - but their front door is at the Main Street entrance. Fourth St there is a turn in for a parking lot (the downtown clinic parking) and if you drive past that a short ways - there is a left - one -way turn (no sign directing you!) that leads to a window where there is a place you can do drive thru pick up. Would recommend that they explain that a bit better on the to-go order sheet.More

For the sophisticated name I expected some thing a little higherend than the minimalist feeling I got when entering. The staff is very charming which made up for the cafeteria style when entering. I went with the carbonara and have to say I was a...little disappointing. It was not very creamy seemed more again I hate to use the word cafeteria style. The basic flavor was good enough that I will give the restaurant another try and select something different. My lunch mates seemed to enjoy the soup and pesto dish. But no one was impressed enough that it became part if the conversation.More

This is the best restaurant in Winona and they’re probably annoyed at how much I go there. I want to thank whoever makes the bread because I am convinced it cured my depression.
