Lovely country pub, good food and drinks and great for dog owners as very welcoming. Our Sunday lunch was lovely and reasonably priced.

Excellent old pub with excellent food and lovely staff. Stopped here on the way home from looe and saw the sign outside for fish Friday. Great atmosphere and lovely fish and chips. Thanks
After a beach walk we came to this pub for some refreshment, what a little gem, great atmosphere, cozy traditional country pub with friendly staff. Plenty of room in the restaurant, bar, and also a function room at the back.
I keep expecting this place to let us down but it just never happens. Family meal tonight. When booking the table, we said we liked the live music so they placed us near the bar/music area. Again, the restaurant was very busy but the guys treated...us like royalty. Excellent table service by 'batman', superb food - I had a blue steak and it was absolutely perfect, cooked to perfection and the service was second to none. The band tonight 'small wonder' were excellent which made a good night perfect. Also really nice to see the staff socializing at the end of the night and they definitely earned it. So glad we have this place on our doorstep and would recommend to anyone. Definitely our favourite go to place.More
Wow, thanks Dave for your fabulous comments, they truly mean an awful lot to us all. Really appreciate you taking the time out to write this review. We all look forward to welcoming you and your family back in the near future. Kindest regards Amanda
We booked a table the night before as we were visiting the area and not sure where to go for a Sunday roast. When we arrived the pub was bustling and full to the brim with people and atmosphere. Staff welcomed us warmly and their...service, friendliness and kindness to our two little white dogs was consistent throughout. We ordered the Royal Roast which came promptly and was one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve ever had. An element of sophistication as well a very hearty portion, with all components cooked beautifully. Very impressed, 5 star food and 5 star service, a real gem. Especially under the pressure of catering for so many covers, would recommend time and time again.More
Hello Charlotte, thank you so much for your wonderful comments, they really do mean an awful lot to us. We would love to welcome you back in the near future. Kindest regards Amanda
Hadn’t been for 2 years. What a wonderful surprise. You can feel the lift the Copley has had as soon as you walk in. Cosy and atmospheric. Really friendly staff and locals, combines a proper local pub/bar with a fantastic restaurant. For me, to be...able to go for an after work pint, then transition to have beautiful food in a relaxed restaurant setting is just the ticket. Only wish I could have stayed to enjoy the music after that! 3 reasons one goes out, all perfectly in one place! Now been in 3 times in a week. Love how refreshing it is. Food was the best I’ve had out for a long time too. Samphire on the fish, nice! Peas are to die for. Fab fish. Thank you to all the team and landlady for a wonderful welcome, lovely food and relaxing place. A definite favourite!More
Wow, thank you s very much fr your amazing comments, we are truly grateful and very humbled. Please come and see us again soon. Kindest regards, Amanda
I have left a positive review for the Copley Arms before, but tonight they blew us away. We booked a table for 11 for Xmas eve. We knew they would be really busy and run off their feet and had agreed we would accept what...service we got. From the outset, even when reserving the table, the experience was brilliant, they seemed genuinely grateful that we were booking with them - On the night there was not one thing to complain about, everything was top notch. I wish I had got the name of our waiter because he was absolutely brilliant - Taking our drink orders instantly and then food order, we were a complicated bunch yet nothing was too much trouble and not a single mistake was made all night. The night went without a hitch, everything was to perfection - timings of food and general courtesy and professionalism of the staff spot on and we never felt rushed despite it being Xmas Eve. The food was to die for - the baked camembert starter is my particular favourite and is a meal on its own - For the mains, amongst our group there were 4 steak orders, each cooked to different tastes (rare, medium, medium to well done and well done) and each one came out perfectly cooked, and you could tell the difference between them which was absolutely spot on. It was really lovely to meet the manager and the chefs at the end of the meal, what lovely people and they were genuinely pleased that we had such a good night. Overall, despite previous positive experiences my expectations were not high because we knew how busy they would be, but throughout the whole night we were treated like we were their only customers. I cannot praise this place enough and would happily recommend to anyone.More

My fiancé and I were staying in the area and looking for a nice country pub for a late lunch/early dinner. We found this one which was perfect and so Christmassy with all the lights and decor! We sat down and the chef asked if...we would prefer a table by a log burner in a different part of the pub which was great of him as it was a lovely cosy spot by the Christmas tree. The food was amazing, big portions and presented beautifully. The staff were all friendly but especially the chef who quite clearly took pride in his job going that little bit further with his service throughout. 100% recommend.More

We havent been to the Copley arms for many years and havent we been missing out! A very friendly welcome, everyone chatty and great bar service. We were lucky enough to catch jollyRoger and that made a perfect Sunday afternoon sitting by the roaring log...fire and singing along with the tunes. Will definately be going back again to catch some more bands and eat with them as the plates of roast sunday lunch looked and smelled amazing.More

Would like to say what an amazing pub this is! We have eaten here more than once this week and it’s been truly amazing! Thanks to the Head Chef for making our visit personal and bringing our food out for us and greeting us. The...food is 11/10! We Will be back for sure wish it wasn’t 4 hrs drive from home else we would be here every day. Thank you Mr & Mrs Taylor.More

Our party of 4 arrived on time for our table booked for 7.30pm. The pub was busy. We were seated and drinks order taken and delivered promptly. We were left the menus for quite a while before anyone came to take our order and then...advised we would need to be quick as the kitchen closed at 8pm, which was not ideal. This was the only negative of our experience though. The food came out in good time and all 4 meals were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was a big hit and proclaimed to be the best my husband had tasted, praise indeed. Staff were friendly and gave good service despite the slow start.More

Been past this establishment many many times, but never stopped. Always commented on how attractive it looks. We had a roast dinner here today, which was splendid. A good selection of vegetables and the meat was beautiful. We had to compliment the landlady on how...polite, friendly and attentive her staff were. They were everything you could hope for, and they all appeared to work as a great team. We will definitely return soon, and with the outdoor bbq area and plenty of outdoor seating, I look forward to a summer visit here. Highly recommended venue.More

This place was recommended in our holiday apartment handbook. We stayed in Looe but wanted something a little different to eat. We had the lamb shank and the chicken. Both was delicious. When we received the bill they asked us to check it so that...it was what we expected to pay. Would highly recommend this on quality of food and service.More
