We have been wanting to go here for over a year. It did not let us down. We got there right at 5 which I think is the key. When we left at 6:30 or so the place was packed on a Friday night. Tons...of take out was going out the door. Food was very tasty and the heat level just right for what we ordered. The menu was very large and everything that came out of the kitchen was very hot. We ordered the Khmer and the owner said it was just made. It was delicious but didn’t have any pistachios as described on the menu.The owner was very gracious. We are going back for the buffet so we can try more dishes since everything we had was so good.More

Amazing experience! We wanted to take my 86 year old mom out for a great meal, and this place did not disappoint! From the beef samosas to the mango pudding...everything was delicious. The service was excellent, Bella (one of the owners) went out of her...way to make us feel welcome.More

I wish Trip Advisor allowed me to give a score of zero because that is what this place deserves. This past Saturday we had reservations at Bukhara for our family including three small children. After ordering, we waited more than an hour for an appetizer...to arrive. Naan had also been ordered as an appetizer and it never arrived. My wife finally went to the door of the kitchen to ask about our main dishes. After a wait of even more time four of them arrived without the last one. She again went to ask as we had no waiter or staff who seemed to be in charge of our table. It finally arrived. Naan never did arrive until our group was leaving. Brought it home with us. We saw other customers who were seated and waiting to even order for a long time. A number of them left without ordering because of the wait. No apology for the poor service ensued or offer of a discount. In fact, excuses were made. Bad form! And, to top it off, a surcharge for using a credit card was added to the bill. This is NOT acceptable at a restaurant. No one else adds a service charge for using a credit card. This place is under new ownership and they really need to get some stuff straightened around or we won't be back.More

Well, after eight years living in Minnesota we finally found our favorite Minnesota Indian restaurant-Bukhara Indian Bistro. They served the most delicious Chicken Tikka Masala we have had in many years and the best in MN. My wife orders mild and I get the mid...hot dish. Both were very delicious and the Nan was excellent- as recommended in many of the posts. It arrived hot and cooked just right. Even though this restaurant is more than 35-mins away from our home, I expect we will return again and again.More

Located in an odd-strip mall on the north I-394 frontage road in Wayzata, Bukhara is a destination; seeing it from the highway one would have no clue how to get to it. They've been at this location for 12 years, so there have to be...a lot of fans. If you make the effort to find, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the service, menu and quality of the food. The vegetable samosas dipped in the homemade tamarind sauce (which they sell for $10/±pint are delicious. The lamb madrassa was excellent, even though it was served not as spicy as I had requested. The tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection and delicious. The papadam was crisp and had just enough of a bite to make it memorable. All dishes come with white basmati rice and buttered nan. The portions are generous. If you ask for a container for leftovers they'll also bring a fresh dish of basmati rice at no charge. It's a challenge to find Bukhara, but well worth the effort!More

We were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome at this lovely restaurant in an unassuming strip mall location. We decided to visit for dinner in the evening, though Bukhara also offers a lunch buffet. White tablecloths and Indian music in the background set the...tone for an elegant and delicious meal. We are novices to Indian food - had tried it in the distant past in other places and had not liked it, but Bukhara made us fans! We started with vegetable samosas, which were large and flaky and delicious. Our entrees were chicken korma and lamb palak, both wonderful. The naan was buttery and better than any we'd had before. Our server was very helpful. My husband selected "medium spice level" and I ordered "mild" and both our entrees were just right. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return.More

I had a reservation which I had verbally confirmed and on open table. I got there and they were closed. That was terrible as it was a birthday celebration

Bukhara is constantly finding ways to improve their restaurant space while providing the same, delicious menu items. From the Dal to the naan, chicken curry to tandoori, the food is hot and well-prepared. Highly recommended.

Delicious food! Both veg and non veg options. We were here for the Lunch buffet. I especially loved the dosa roll ups. Fresh naan delivered to the table. Nice ambience and decor- not expected when in this non descript strip mall. Will go here again

It was our first time at Bukhara and the food was delicious and hot. The server was lovely and attentive. And it was very reasonable.
