Excellent Burgers

I was referred here by the Hotel I was staying at a short distance away when I asked about a place with good burgers. The building itself is very older looking and nothing fancy, but they hide a awesome burger here.

The building is historical to Two Harbors as it is over 50 years ago that it was the Sweden House Restaurant. We try to maintain the charm of that era, yet produce the very best handmade 1/2 lb Angus Beef Hamburgers, cooked the old fashion way. This resulted in we being awarded 1 of 3 "Hidden Food Gems of the... More

As a local I enjoy the Earthwood, food is always exceptional, staff is personable and very friendly. A mix of locals and travelers just works. Stop in for better than good bar menu. If you are looking for friendly folks that will gladly share local knowledge on where to go or what to do on the North Shore this is... More

This little bar might surprise you when stopping in there. We drove through on the way to Lutsen and stopped to eat. The steaks were absolutely phenomenal! High quality meat and cooked to perfection. The wife had a hamburger that she said was delicious. We will definitely make this a regular stop for a long time.

Don't let the rustic look fool you. The food makes this a gem of the North Shore. From perfectly prepared steaks to great burgers and fresh seafood (the herring is a must try) I always go out of my way to eat here when up from the Chicago area.

This is my "Go to" place in Two Harbors! If you're looking for a great dinner (try the Ragin Cajun Burger or the Fish & Chips!!!) in a fun, laid back pub environment, the Earthwood is the ONLY PLACE to go. Great bar, friendly people, feels like home the first time you walk in the door.

This place serves the best burgers on the North Shore of Lake Superior. If you are looking for a nice eloquent setting, this is NOT the place. If you like a small hidden bar, that may be a bit loud, but you want a great burger-like meal, then this is thee place!! Burgers are 1/2 pound, wings are fantastic, and... More

During our last visit to the north shore we stopped here twice. The fresh herring was very good. On our final visit we ordered their specialty burgers (Rajun Cajun & Blue). My wife and I agree these were one of the best burgers we have had anywhere in the US or abroad. I'd rank it above the specialty burger restaurants... More

True Up North culture. Locally recommended. More bar than resturant. Good burgers ($5 at lunch!) and strong drinks. Chat w the bartender, laugh with locals, play a round of PacMan or fuseball and thank the chef when she clears your plates. Wear your comfy jeans n favorite sweatshirt n you'll fit in fine. It was cold the day we were... More

We enjoyed a lunch there. I had the fish & chips which were good, and my husband had a burger & fries. Everything tasted great. Service was very good. Lots of places to park.

We enjoyed our first evening meal at the Earthwood Motel's restaurant that we went back our second night in Two Harbours. The restaurant is only a few minutes drive from the Country Inn of Two Harbours where we stayed and was recommended by the receptionist. And we're so glad she did as we had done some research and never came... More
