Dixie has always been one of our favorite places to gather with friends. The food was great especially the burgers and all you can was fish fry. Service was always friendly. Sadly, Dixie burned to the ground last week. Dixie will be missed.

Off the beaten path (about 4 miles from Two Harbors on Hwy 2) and probably best known to the locals. Good food. Moderately priced. Great Friday night fish and chips. Excellent burgers. A wealth of beverage choices. I'm always too full to try dessert, so I don't know what they offer there. But it is worth the effort to seek... More

Have eaten here at least three times and am always satisfied. Deep fried fish twice and now that hubby is on cardiac diet he had the grilled salmon and it was perfect with baked potato.

Was recommended by the gal at the hotel. We don't like eating at chain restaurants when we travel. It is a bar, so nothing fancy on the inside. Had a walleye sandwich w/chips and grilled shrimp. Sandwich was big, but fish was a little tough after deep fried. Shrimp was well prepared but came with wild rice and a potato... More

The fish fry had really good breading but I was a little disappointed it wasn't a Lake Superior fish - it was Alaskan Pollock. I guess I was hoping for whitefish. The waffle fries were good. Friendly staff. A pretty typical northern country bar. Not an extensive draft beer selection but they did had a couple Castle Danger brewing beer... More

We came up the Dixie Saloon while snowmobiling through a white out storm this past winter. Thankfully we did because we were lost and needed to get our bearings...they were very helpful and provided maps and some drinks to us. Sorry we didn't eat, but know the staff is very accomadating.

We went for the fish fry and they were sold out which was a disappointment. The meal I chose was the salmon and it was very poor.

We decided to eat here on our recent trip to Two Harbors, There were five of us, and all of us agreed the food tasted great. This is a nice little bar/restaurant, and we would definetely stop and eat here again if we are in the area. They also have Buffalo and Elk Burgers which are different and 2 in... More

Seems like they only welcome local people. We waited ages and the food was nasty and the smell of grease stuck to my clothes for ages after. Locals shouted their conversations over our heads which was beyond rude, but this is Two Harbors after all.
