My family, friends, and I have enjoyed Red Ginger for over 15 years. But lately (Fall/Winter 2020) the food is not the same quality. I’m looking for another go-to for Chinese in the area.

We ordered food online due to covid19. When we got there, the food was there for picking up. It was very nice they had food ready as estimated. The walnut shrimp was good, they put the sauce in a small container, so the shrimp coating...was still crunch. The pad Thai was good. The shrimp with vegetables was good too. Sweet sour shrimp wasn't good because the coating of the shrimp was falling off due to soaking in the sweet and sour sauce. the salt and pepper tofu was really good.More

We love this place and will surely be back. Our meal was great. The only negative was related to price conflicts for which I am docking them one star. There are posters in the windows that show Happy Hour wine prices as $2.50 per glass,...and that was the same as what was in the menu at our table. Our menu also showed Happy Hour appetizers at $2.00. When we got our bill, four glasses of wine showed up as $11.00 and the appetizer at $2.50. When I questioned the server, I was given a different copy of the menu with prices marked up by hand. This is one of very few times when I've pointed out a discrepancy in the bill vs. what the menu said, where the restaurant did not take ownership and adjust the price to what I ordered against. I don't care if glasses of wine are $2.50 or $2.75, or if appetizers are $2.00 or $2.50, but they're supposed to show up on the bill at the price that is advertised. Ordered Red Ginger pad thai, which is many meats and seafood, received 1 shrimp, called manager to ask why, he simply said it's impossible for me to only receive 1 shrimp. We have gotten take-out from this place once before and it was good, but we hadn't eaten in. This time, we dined in...the restaurant and I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. The atmosphere is almost like a mom and pop place. It's not a large space, but the booth was comfortable. I had been craving Mongolian Beef - I love this dish and hadn't found any place that prepared it to my liking. The dish at Red Ginger was exceptional! Kung Pao, Mushu Gai Pan, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Vegetable Fried Rice & combo appetizers. All perfection. Doting servers and cozy, classy armosphere. Red Ginger in Shoreview has been my favorite for several years and will continue.

We love. To go here . They have great food at reasonable prices. Our favorite is happy hour Monday-Friday afternoons. They have great green beans and egg rolls.
