Good Considering the Times

We were looking for a sit-down place near 169 in Shakopee. There aren't a lot of choices. This fit the bill. The restaurant was clean and the food was good. Our order was correct. The only downside was that the waitress was slow. That being said, she told us she was new and we understand in this day and age you have to be patient. With so many restaurants closing, we will put up with slower service as long as the food is good.

Mediocre and disappointing

I haven’t been to Chili’s for years and used to LOVE it. I always had the same. Raspberry lemonade, bean/queso dip with chips, and chicken crispers dinner. I assume the restaurant was short staffed as it was busy but they were not seating all tables. We were fine with waiting. Our server provided service as expected. She did a fine job. Our food was a disappointment. The bean/queso dip was not the same as I had remembered. The chicken crispers dinner wasn’t either. The breading on the chicken was completely different than the amazing breading they used to have. I won’t be going out of my way to go back.

Great food!

My best friend and I went out to eat after doing taxes. We both had the 6oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes. We also had strawberry margaritas. The entire meal was spot on! I am not a fan of margaritas but their was fabulous! It was blended with a sugar rim. The waitress was very attentive. I can't say when the last time I have had a meal when I absolutely loved every single bit of it.

Terrible On-Line Delibery Experience

Placed an on-line delivery order, never received the order. Called and told we would have to pick-up the order. Of course the food was cold. We requested a refund for the delivery fee and tip, but were told we would have to contact Door Dash. When we contacted Door Dash, we were told to contact Chili's. They then told us to contact Door Dash. I realize it's crazy times, but appears customer service and common sense has also went out the window. Seriously Chili's and Door Dash this is the best you can do? A very frustrated customer. P.S. To make matters worse, the Door Dash system claimed they delivered the food 8 hours later, which didn't happen.

Stopped to do some quick catch up work and a bite to eat. Needed an outlet - none at any table, booth or bar. Sat at the bar - two people at the bar nobody in the restaurant. 7 servers standing around. Was told the baked potato soup was "to die for" - ordered a cup. Believe it had been frozen and reheated - sauce was broken and "mealy". There was a bad order -- like spoiled milk in the bar. Pretty unpleasant experience. Won't be going back.

Me of the better chain

I have been to this Chili’s many times. Service is usually friendly and food is consistent for a chain. Nice bar area. Can get busy on Friday and Saturday. A big step up from Applebee’s or Perkins.

Very pleasantly surprised!

First of all, I can't believe I rated Chili's a 5 out of 5. But I did, and this Chili's deserves it. My husband and I rarely go to chain restaurants but wanted something different and were in the area, so... Wow! The food was super good, and service was fantastic. I got steak and shrimp fajitas. Because it was "fajita night" they were only $10.99. What a deal! I got 2 FULL meals out of it. Everything was so yummy. My husband got a burger, which he really enjoyed. The only thing I didn't care for was the specialty watermelon cocktail I got - it was way too sweet. We'll definitely be back!

Awesome Menu and Excellent Staff

Our lunch visit to Chili's was amazing. Great decor and energy in the restaurant, plus a great waitress and an excellent meal made for a winning combination. All three of us enjoyed our meals. My daughter always gets (and always loves) the boneless buffalo wings--Chili's sauce cannot be beat according to her. My husband got the Chicken Ranchero tacos and thought they were excellent--as always. As for me--I went bold and tried something new and it was amazing. I had the Honey-Chipotle Crispers and Waffles. It was so darn good and yummy! It's also a big portion (with 4). I could eat two and the other two heated up great for leftovers. The waffles even stayed awesome. When it comes to beer...the 2 for 1 specials they often have at Chili's are a pretty nice deal, as well.

Good food, but hang on to your plate!

My dining companion and I ordered burgers, each a different kind of meat and a different topping, and they were delicious, but we did not get napkins until we asked for them. The fries were even better, skin-on, crispy, and salted just right. As I was savoring my fries, the waitress came along and snatched my plate away without even breaking stride to ask if I wanted her to take it. The restaurant made good, however, by giving me a free order of fries, and the waitress apologized.

Great food, lousy waitress.

The ribs were great. Wonderful flavor. The waitress, Kristine, was really energetic and hard working. We got to-go boxes and asked the waitress to take a picture of us with my wife's birthday dessert. She set our dishes aside so they wouldn't be in the picture. A few minutes later I was looking for our food so i could box it but it wasnt around. I asked the waitress in a friendly manner if she threw it out. She immediately got a defensive tone and attitude and said "you said you were done". I wouldn't have minded the mistake, but the defensive tone and immediately putting blame on us really turned me off. I said no more. Wasn't worth it. But I took the copy of the receipt with a 30% tip and filled the other copy of the receipt out with about a 10% tip and left that for her.

Quick Sunday dinner

We don't have access to a chilis so when over in the area we take advantage of it. We enjoy the the dinner for two. Chips and salsa a must. They wanted to bring more but declined. Had the chicken strips with corn and fries it was good and brought food home. My husband had the ribs which he enjoys found it odd no corn for him. The service was crunched because they are looking to hire but our waitress did good staying on top of things as best as you can when short staffed. The manager jumped in to help instead of just watching. I liked we were able to pay at the table so our card never is out of sight. Oh and the water was horrible it smelled and didn't taste good at all. Asked them to remove from table.

Our Go To Place

We only live 5 mins away and this is our go to place for dinner. I especially like the southwest entries. The endless tortilla chips are a must. Unfortunately, the new menu doesn't include my two favorite dishes. Bring back the smothered burritos! I once told my wife I could eat here every day.

Great new menu

My wife and I visited here and sat in the bar. Wonderful bar service....we also had dinner. I had a small steak as part of the healthy meal promotion. The steak was exceptional and cooked perfectly which is rare in these restaurants. Best bartender in a long time!

New Menu Items - Much Improved

Their menu used to be pretty boring having the same items time and time again, however they've amped it up. I love the new variety they have here; their burritos, tex mex bowls, enchiladas, and various appetizers. I love their Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas and I add corn and black bean salsa to the inside of it. Amazing. They have a good lunch special too if you want lighter fare. We will keep coming back.

Accommodating and friendly service

We we're here to meet with my "old" college roommate and his wife. It had been forty plus years since we had seen each other. My wife and I arrived first and explained that we would like to have a table out of the way and some privacy to visit. They did provide us a place exactly fitting our needs. Even though we were out of the way, we were never at a loss for service. We had the privacy to sit and visit while we enjoyed a very good meal. The food and the service was second to none and we will return should our travels take us that way again.
