After our great experience on the course we decided to get some lunch. Amanda the bartender gave us great opinions on top selling items from the menu. Great options from appetizers to upscale dinner entrees. They also have a great patio overlooking the course with...the sounds of the multiple waterfalls in the background. We also learned they have live music in the summer!More
This place is so nice. The food is excellent. And we will be back with our friends. Not so much to golf although the course is beautiful. Just a place to relax by the waterfall and enjoy the eats and drinks.
Stonebrook is fantastic. The menu has evolved over the last couple of years and is truly great now. The daily happy hour from 4-6pm is a must go. I am hopeful that is now a main stay of the restaurant! Great prices on beer/drinks...hard to...beat a $4 Guinness pint! They also have great food options and all are in the $3-$6 range! Definitely recommend the nachos - one of the best in the twin cities! The fries and pretzel bites are also both outstanding ! The service is top notch and a great atmosphere to sit out on the awesome patio.More
While traveling for business I stopped at this facility. Great atmosphere, good food, great variety. Not stuffy as one might expect from a "club house" on a gold course. Perfect for client/work dinners and family friendly. Great staff for service and the bar.
While staying at Mystic Lake Casino and Resort, my elderly mother and I ventured here for lunch. There were few customers, so we were suspicious but what a delight! The food and service were both excellent! I had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings that...were both delicious. When I asked for some ranch dressing for my rings, the server also brought some of their homemade tomato ranch dill dressing and it was outstanding! Wonderful experience! Highly recommend!More
Stonebrooke has really stepped up the game inside the clubhouse! The menu continues to be upgraded and far more seasonal choices. The burgers and sandwiches are all very food. The po boy is my favorite! Also have great apps, the nachos are outstanding! The service...has also greatly improved over the last 6 months. Definitely give this play a try and e joy a great happy hour, great family spot, and awesome patio views!More
My husband and I have been to Stonebrooke three times in the last two weeks and have enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the lovely golf course every time.
So far, we've tried the walleye sandwich, burger, buffalo wings, Caesar salad, and Sunday brunch.Everything was...delicious. A few high points are below.
The walleye sandwich ($11) was utter perfection. It wasn’t a huge piece of fish but was FRESH, ever-so lightly breaded, and served on a buttery toasted ciabatta roll. The tartar sauce was light and lemony – delicious. And we were both delighted to see the fries were our favorite kind: battered with a crispy outside and fluffy inside.
The buffalo wings were incredible and a bargain. For $9, I got a dozen wings, NOT breaded, plump, juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned deliciously. The buffalo sauce wasn’t super hot but had a great flavor. I ordered them with ranch dressing, which was clearly homemade. The celery was fresh and crispy.
My ONLY complaint was that a “top shelf” margarita with Patron was almost $11 and there wasn’t even Grand Marnier in it. 16 oz Coors light was $4 – not great but the food prices made up for it.
Sunday brunch was underwhelming to look at but we shouldn’t have expected much for $9.95. It was most likely for golfers who wanted a quick bite before heading out to the course. Fresh fruit (watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple), scrambled eggs – plain and with cheese/ham, hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs benedict, waffles, French toast, and caramel rolls. While the choices were limited, the food was very good. Of special note were the eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce was just right – buttery, velvety, with a hint of lemon. The bacon was thick cut and had a subtle sweet flavor. The waffles were on the sweet side, but otherwise were good. We were a bit disappointed there was no dessert or plain bread (not sweet) and the mimosas were $6 (but yummy).
This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu.More
