I have never been disappointed getting sushi at Sapporo and staff have always been accommodating of slight changes to my orders. Highly recommend the sweet potato & peanut sushi. So good!

Very friendly and polite waitstaff. Sushi rolls take a little time to prepare, but everything else was quick
We ordered:
Appetizers: Crab Rangoon. Calamari. Gyoza.
Sushi - Yellowtail Jalapeno. Royal Pink Roll. Crazy Roll.
Main dishes - Tofu. Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Nabe Yaki Udon.
Green Tea.
All were very good and reasonably priced. The 2 year old shared veggies and noodles...yum!
Lots of food and delicious.

Went here on a whim with my family and was beyond impressed with the exquisite care that went into each plate. From the Harumaki to the Hawaii rolls to the Hibachi chicken, every dish was delectable to the last bite! The staff was so sweet and welcoming we instantly felt like family! I couldn’t speak more highly of Sapporo Sushi, defiantly worth the trip!

We went to try this new place and had a mixed experience. Tempura was good, but not great. The eel dish missed the mark. The squid appetizer was quite tasty though.
I hope the owners gather customer feedback and act on it to keep the place for years to come. The service staff are very personable and professional.

We stopped in for an early dinner and had a wonderful time. First the service was simply outstanding, extremely friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. The food was equally as good. We started with 2 appetizers, the Gyoza and Crab Rangoon. Both were delicious! We shared a few rolls for our entrees ...the spicy lover, MJ, and King Crab. All three were very good. Definitely a little gem in Shakopee! Looking forward to going back!

We visited on Friday, March 30, 2018 for dinner. Party of six adults. Seated promptly. The menu is varied and has many, many choices.
Service was timely and the wait staff explained different items to us. We ordered a variety of raw and cooked sushi and appetizers.
Food arrived quickly. The taste profiles are outstanding! The flavors and textures were very well paired.
For excellent food and service, we will be back.

I am not one to specifically seek out Japanese food. Yet, I am a foodie and love a good meal. If you like fresh, fresh food, seasoned and cooked to perfection, and nicely presented. This is the place for you. The service is top-rate. They had a full bar that included a list of hand-crafted cocktails, wine, saki, beer and spirits. You would never think this tiny restaurant in a strip mall, across from the Taco Bell would be one of the finest restaurants Shakopee has to offer, yet it is.....Don’t miss it! My sweetie and I went here for on a Saturday night date; and 6 days later we made a reservation for 7 for a birthday celebration with my family. All of our guests raved about the place, and the staff went out of the way to make it special.

My wife and I visited here again and sat at the low front sushi bar. We got to visit with the sushi chef's and they are amazing. It's starting to get busier here now that their reputation is out. Located in a strip mall it is a great addition. Only drawback is the small out of place bar design. Great spot to take a date!

We were so excited when we saw that this place opened! We love sushi and Japanese food and this place is fantastic!
The service is excellent and the food is even better! The Maki rolls were rolled perfectly, the cold ones were served cold and the hot served hot. We don't always get that at other sushi restaurants. The hibachi noodles and chicken are seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly the way they should be!
Because of our amazing experience I was spreading the word to others. When we went to pick up some take out I mentioned to the server that I was doing this. They were so happy to hear it that they gave us a free appetizer!
I cannot recommend this place enough! Absolutely the best experience!
