Great wings. My favorite of all time! If I had the money I would build a chain of Art Songs wing restaurants.

Love the ribs and the chicken is to die for. I Would Have to Say the Chicken Looked Very Small and Solely relide on the fancy seasoning. I would definitely be trying them again to see anything different. Sides are okay also.

We come from hours away for these wings. Extra seasoning please!!!!! There is nothing better or like this seasoning.

I stopped in and picked up a couple rib tip dinners($13 each) here the other night as I had a craving for BBQ. I read the reviews, so felt like i needed to get some wings as well. The portions are large, two people could...probably split one rib tip dinner. While the portions are large, they are not the "Fall of the bone" type ribs I love, these where tasty pork ribs in a mild sauce that required plenty of gnawing to clean the bones. I had mine with Ho Jos and Mac N Cheese. Ho Jos are like an extra thick potato chip fries and you get a large potato's worth. They were alright, a couple had kind of a fishy taste as I'm guessing they are fried with the fish, then covered in seasoning. To be fair, fried potato's are never perfect when taken home to eat. I ordered the 3 wings($8) with some buffalo sauce to give them a try. They are large wings, and based on the price, they are proud of them... i thought they were OK... I love that this place is an institution that has been here a long time but may prefer Big Daddy's a little better.More

This place looks pretty nondescript, but the chicken wings are out of sight! Different... they taste & smell like they put garam masala in their spice mix. Very nice touch.

Art Songs chicken wings! Need I say more? Best wings in the metro! Go on a Tuesday or Thursday when you can get a "bucket of 24" for a special price. They also use the seasoning on their rice. I haven't tried anything else on...their menu. There are about a dozen tables inside. I call an order in for 24 wings and they're usually ready in 15 minutes. Sometimes I can't even make it home without nibbling on a wing or two.More

this is as close as you can get to the original art songs wing that used to be in Minneapolis I travel from the international airport to this place just to get wing and greens on a regular basis ......good stuff

This family owned business did not get a full 5 rating because I consider it a great dive of a place. This restaurant saved an old college college favorite that I used to visit in 1984-88, Art Song's wings...they bought the rights to Art recipe...for chicken wings and it was awesome. Great value too! Again, I love dives and I would never give a dive a 5 star but the food is over the top. Cleanliness is also great. Go here and get the wings...THE BEST!More

This place,has the best ribs ever!My favorite is the ribs,sliced really thin,with the mild not so hot sauce!The chickenwings are good as well!This place have plenty of sides,you can chose from!I love the greens.and also the potatoe fries!The family that been owned this place,for twenty...plus yrs,are so very awesome!You can call ahead,and when you arrive,your order is ready!More

This is a small no frills restaurant, but what it lacks in ambiance is more than made up by the food. Wings are their specialty and they are full wings with a dry rub seasoning. The hojo potatoes are also excellent. The restaurant was spotless...and we were served by the owner who has been there for 17 years. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend it. The wings were outstanding.More

Was headed to big daddy's bbq (to pick up dinner for my son)but found them closed. So I was heading out of parking lot and thought I'd give them a try. Glad I did ribs tender and seasoned just right and not burned when grilled...done very nicely, coleslaw needed help but the ribs were good tender and tasty. Will go back for sureMore

As on Dec, 2014, Hickory Hut will have been on University Av for more than 16 years. This is a very tough place to survive. They have done so through recession and road repair cause they do GREAT Barbeque, excellent wings and darn good catfish....Prices range from about $5 for a sandwich to $14 for various combinations with lots of sides. The inside "decor" is plain. This is not a fancy place. You walk up to a counter and order. No table service. But the food is really good. You can dine in or order and pick up. If you like this kind of food, this place is a "find." That's why it has lasted more than 16 years.More
