Went to Cecil's for lunch. Drove from Albert Lea for almost two hours. Last visit was awesome. This visit was disappointing. Had a pastrami sandwich and it was only fair. Very small and not sliced like I'm use to. Tasted like heated up Boars Head. Coleslaw was very good.

Was in the area and decided to try Cecil's- they have Coconut Cream Pie which my husband loves and is impossible to find in the Twin Cities. My first bite into my rueben was divine! I got one to go for my husband and he said it was the best rueben he's had since we moved here 8 years ago-... More

Great deli/restaurant experience...small and informal dining, busy and excellent. A longtime Jewish ethnic deli, the front of the restaurant has a meat and salad case where you can buy Kosher, small grocery, fresh bagels and breads, and baked treats. Family owned, you will not go away hungry. Parking is on street but free. It is in a residential and college... More

continue to love Cecil's. My friends and I have enjoyed the food, especially the sandwiches for years. However, as my friends and I have become "seasoned" seating at Cecil's has become challenging. I wish the owner would consider its clients' needs. The bathroom is downstairs, the tables are packed in for maximum food sales, and the floor does not allow... More

I grew up down the street and have been coming to Cecil's for my whole life. It's so good my family still comes to eat here at least a couple times a month. Everything is delicious, really good latkes and corned beef sandwiches! They have a huge menu for the eat in restaurant , and a deli counter with meats,... More

I grew up in New York, and I ate at Jewish Delicatessens with the family many times in the city and in the suburbs. Now that I live in the Midwest - finding an authentic Jewish Deli is hard. But, this is indeed a great deli. I've eaten here at least 20 times, and have enjoyed it every time. They... More

Love this place and miss it since I moved out of the neighborhood! This place is geared toward the meat-eating Reuben-lovers, but as a Vegetarian I found plenty to eat here too! The Veggie Reuben is amazing! I had never had a potato knish so I got an order once - these were warm, soft, and delicious! For breakfast I... More

The staff is friendly, the food portions are generous, and the patrons will talk to you even if they have not met you before. It is a "Cheers" type environment. We ordered and had our food in about 8 minutes. There is a complete old-school deli up front. A must stop for lunch in St. Paul! A quick note about... More

This is a family owned, real food type place. Loved the sweet and sour coleslaw. Had a Stella sandwich. Hot, melty, muenster cheese with turkey and roast beef sliced thin. There was a layer of sliced olives on the sandwich that was delish. Had Hamantaschen cookies with different fillings. I tried two, almond and chocolate and I don't know which... More
