As always, the rye bread was fresh. The pastrami and corn beef was excellent. The sweet and sour coleslaw is unmatched in flavor and freshness. The best potato salad anywhere.

This restaurant / deli serves some great food! It's not quite a NYC deli but it tries and almost gets there. We haven't found anything else in the Twin Cities that approaches this and is still in business. (The Little Apple on Grand Ave came and went years ago!) With one exception (and a disappointing one when they cut it... More

I was at a meeting and they brought food in from here. My sandwich was very very good. Other people commented on how good their food was. Well done.

No need to travel to NYC for good deli if you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Cecil's Deli & Bakery is twice as good and half the price of the famous Katz Deli in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Their reubens have wonderfully thin-sliced meats with a substantial topping of delicious hot sauerkraut on toasted rye bread. But... More

Love this place. Been going here for 40 years! Nothing fancy, just plain, old fashioned deli food done right.

Had the "Some Like Hot" sandwich. Always a pleasure. Great food and snappy service. Some of the greatest dill pickles in the world. I love going there

The best of deli goodness is still there at Cecil's. I believe the fourth generation of Cecil and Faye Glickman's family is training in. The matzoh ball soup, the chopped liver, the corned beef, the latkes, the blintzes and on and on. And that's just lunch or dinner! Who can resist the eggs, lox and onions for a late breakfast?... Absolutely, positively heaven! You go in with the amazing aromas, and see the ice cold beverages across the room. You put a piece of the delicious corn beef in your mouth as it melts as you reach maximum satisfaction. You have a bight of the corn slaw, and let me tell you, best you will ever have, period. The Sasha... More

A family business that is a deli. Remarkably everything reinforces a feeling of being in a place like the Carnegie Deli in NYC. Fine deli sandwiches with superb corned beed and pastrami. Two cole slaws-- one is a vinegary tangy one that can't be beat. Service is effective, personable, but not fake-friendly. Soups are consistently fine-- motzo ball soup, pea... More

We recently went to Cecil's for a late lunch on a Friday (1:30) and then again for a late brunch the next day (12:30). Everything was great! On the Friday, we had the borscht, the New York style (1/2 lb) corned beef on caraway rye, and the potato latkes. The plan was to share all and take home what we... More
