I am of Russian origin and my date felt a bit awkward about taking me to this place on account of it being too cliche. But it turned out pretty great. We had beef tongue and duck breast and both dishes were absolutely mouth watering. Great version of borscht as well. On top of that, very pleasant atmosphere and unobtrusive... More

I was there for a freinds out evening, and had a great time. On a Friday night, it was understandably full, but we got a table in the lounge pretty quickly. I had a the chicken kiev, my friend had the Piroshki and Pelmeni. Wonderful! Actually the broccoli was my favorite part of the plate. Vegetables are not usually a... More

Nice atmosphere and staff. The food just OK. Cabbage rolls were 'meh at best. The music overhead was really trilling and difficult to talk through. Can't say I'll ever be back.

We ate here while visiting family. This is a favorite restaurant of theirs. We were only able to stop in for afternoon appetizers, so we wanted to try a couple Russian specialties. The dumplings, in three varieties, and the Russian fries, were what we chose. And they were amazing! We would return here for a full meal in a minute.... More

I'm being generous with the three-star rating. Had dinner thee with a party of 6 adults. Service was good, but not great. Entrees were okay, but very, very average. I was disappointed that they didn't offer a sampler platter entree. This was our first visit and it would have been nice to try their various offerings. Dessert was aweful. Ordered... More

On the plus side--Wonderful, authentic Russian fare. On the downside--not the friendliest of service. Still, I would definitely go back again and again. There's plenty more I wanted to try. The stroganoff and Siberian pelmeni were both delicious!

It is very difficult to describe the great place Moscow on the Hill is. It has been going beyond the best restaurant in town. The good thing is that it is also the best authentic Russian restaurant. You are treated as part of the family. The food is great, what ever you try you will not be disappointed. We were... More

Moscow on the Hill was an impulse destination when we discovered that the wait at a nearby restaurant would be far too long. We got in right away at Moscow on the Hill. Lovely, quiet restaurant, great for conversation. Even the accordionist's rendition of Otchi Chornya was not intrusive. We split an order of Moscow Fries--small, tender slices of potato,... More

We went to Moscow for Sunday brunch for the first time and at first were concerned about the lack of other diners. Of course it was a really nice day and the Vikings were playing later so that could have impacted it. We don't usually order breakfast items for brunch so the meal was a little lacking in other meals... More

We have had dinner here several times in the past and have uniformly had good service and meals. However, last week, when we invited a couple to join us for dinner, it was not a good experience. We ordered 3 appetizers to share, and a cup of borscht before our entrees. When we asked the server how many pieces were... More
