My son and his wife were heading back overseas for their jobs after a three week visit, so we were looking for a nice farewell dinner the night before. A customer of my younger son recommended this restaurant, close to the Ordway, where we had tickets for a musical. Did a quick Open Table reservation on the way up to... More

I came here for my bestie's birthday. We had the tasting menu - it was delightful. The decor was charming and the service was impeccable.

This is one of our tried and true favorites. The pesto is divine and they have a lovely wine selection. Make sure you book enough time to enjoy dinner Italian style...slow with lots of conversation. Close to the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and a great evening out...Get yourself Orchestra season tickets and book ahead. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted to like Pazzaluna more than I did; I had heard good things. The food is ok for Italian but not worth the price. The antipasti we ordered as an appetizer was uneven- Brussels sprouts good, olives not. Too expensive for what you get.

The food was very tasty. While I was there I saw they had a good happy hour during the week days. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, with huge marble pillars from floor to ceiling and windows to match. Not as expensive as Kincade's or St. Paul grill, both are across the street, but you lose nothing... More

We all had something different and it was all great. Everything is made in house. The homemade pecan pie was awesome for dessert!

Had a great dinner here, salmon was excellent. Also a very good wedge salad, very fresh. Service was friendly and I got a special dessert for my birthday, just a taste of three specialties. We do love this place when we are in downtown St Paul.

This was one of my best meals ever at Pazzaluna. I had a friend in town from Chicago and he likes Italian nouveau food. I had a delicious cocktail. Pictures below. We had the complimentary bread and olive paste, delicious. The appetizers were from the display case and they were very good. My friend had the bologese, which he thought... More

Frankly, there are no excellent Italian restaurants in the Twin Cities; this is not NYC, Chicago, LA. But this restaurant serves good food for decent value and ok service.

The food was good but there was a funky smell in the bar. Not sure what that was about, hopefully it was temporary. The happy hour is great with fun drink choices. My favorite was the "absolute wreck".

Description
Italy's abundant and diverse food styles are represented and sampled throughout the year at Pazzaluna. The many culinary faces of Italy's distinct regions find their way to Pazzaluna's cucina daily. Seasonal influence is always projected, as are the artisan and craft suppliers that provide Pazzaluna with the best raw-ingredients Mother Nature has to offer.

Pazzaluna is proud of its reputation of buying direct from area farmers on some of its most prized items. This style of purchasing is the TRUE ITALIAN TRATTORIA way - using local, regionally grown and produced supplies, reflecting the unique influence of the area as all of the ingredients come together in concert to perform in a dinner experience of a lifetime.

To Italians, a meal is more than just food-it's an experience, an event to be shared with family and friends. No where is this more true than at Pazzaluna Urban Italian in Saint Paul, one of the Twin Cities' best Italian restaurants.
