Eight of us booked a table for thanksgiving and aside from having to wait 40 minutes for our table everything was good. The food was amazing, the service was good and the atmosphere nice. Not the cheapest but we knew that going in. Overall a nice meal

Six of us were seated in a nice alcove a few floors up from the first floor. It was quiet through-out the meal which these days is a pleasant change from most restaurants. My starter of carrot soup and my main course (filet) were very fine. The waitress was very talkative about all of the chef's awards. Quibble 1: the... More

Just had one of the most awful restaurant experiences ever. A Halloween even at Forepaugh's. Absolutely horrible. The "appetizers" looked like barf on a tray, glued together, inedible. Cocktails horrible. We were planning on going there for Thanksgiving dinner, but are cancelling. It will be a very long time before we return, if ever.

We went here for a dinner with a few other couples. There were 11 of us total. We arrived at 6 pm. The food was good but it took a long long time. Everything was a bit slow. We didn't get out until 10 pm. My husband and I split: ( I do have to say it was nice of... More

Grand meal in a grand old house converted into multi floor atmospheric restaurant. Chef came to table mid way through meal to check on things - very classy indeed. Had the duck special with ingredients chef obtained at local farmer's market that day. Fantastic dish. Would fly to Minneapolis just to have this dish again!

A beautiful setting for a date night or formal affair. The service was outstanding And one of the best dirty martini's around. I had the Beef Wellington which was fab and my husband had the walleye also very good. We also had the corn soup which was fantastic and the pork belly. I would highly recommend for couples celebrating a... More

So we came here with some friends and haven't been here in a long time. As the legend goes the place is haunted which adds a little different element to the restaurant. The drinks were good but took so long to get, the food was fantastic and the dessert was very average. But we enjoyed out time and the going... More

We recently had Sunday brunch at Forepauh's. While I didn't catch the name of our hostess I have to give a shout out to her for her excellent service gracious kindness. We took full advantage of her invitation to wonder the house and what a beautiful place to explore. Our waiter Robert was very knowledgeable of the menu and very... More

Forepaugh's is rather famous in St. Paul for dining excellence, not only for the quality of the dishes, but also for the extraordinary setting of the building in an historic mansion. My recent visit completely vindicated its reputation for me. Both the food and service that I experienced with my companion were excellent. Specifically, the dishes I found so superlative... More

We ate outside on the 2nd floor terrace on a Sunday afternoon. We had brunch. It's not a buffet, but a menu of approx.10 items. We ordered the omelet and the french toast. Both were very flavorful and delicious! It wasn't a lot of food and both of us left not feeling very full. The brunch prices were reasonable, approximately... More
