Good egg rolls and prompt take out service

Called in a fairly large order and asked if I could pick it up in 30 minutes. They said yes. Food was ready and very good. Agree with others than dining room is not fancy but food is good. Very friendly and responsive staff. Parking on street.

Haven't had a good Green Curry for longer than I can remember. FOUND MY GO TO FOR THAI in the Metro area. No need to go anywhere else. A Saturday night with the wife. Eastside was on the way back home. Figured we would give it a try. Seriously found my new go to place. Green Curry Chicken was PERFECTION. Thai Ice Tea to compliment the dis. Service was happy and attentive. I always say, happy staff means good management. You can't fake happy workers. Will be back soon.

A Pleasant Surprise

Had a really nice dinner here. The decor is nothing fancy, very basic, but ok. Food was very good. Service excellent. The Pad Thai didn’t get served with a lime, we had to ask for one and took took the Pad Thai up a whole level so ask for a lime with your Pad Thai.

Missing ingredients listed on online menu.

The flavor was good, however, the ingredients listed on their online menu did not show up in our dish like the slied cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and mint. Instead, we got sliced lettuce greens. The Drunken noodles did not have sweet basil and onions as the menu says. I called to tell them but barely got an apology. Will have to go to other myriads of Thai restaurants in our area instead of this one. Too bad.

Don’t Doordash

Great food and great customer service at the restaurant. I recommend going in person, but do not DoorDash or UberEats here. Don’t get me wrong, I still go to Eastside Thai and they are a great restaurant. But I’ve tried to DoorDash with them for the 3-4 times and they can’t get my order correct.

Good SE Asian food

Eastside Thai is a staple on the East side of St. Paul - it offers an array of authentic food options that are decently prepared. It is a good place for lunch/dinner and enjoyed by many locals and their families/friends.

Not what I expected

After reading all the great reviews, I was expecting a great meal, and that didn't happen. I had a good meal, an average,ok meal, but not great. I ordered the Pad See Yew with tofu and it was bland and almost pasty dry. It had the wide rice noodles, some broccoli and some tofu. the only item in abundance was the noodles. the sauce was good, but bland and there wasn't enough on the noodles - they stuck together. I did add sriracha which helped, but overall it was just an ok dish. The other two items ordered were the Drunkard Noodles - which had a lot more vegetables and sauce. The reviews on that were very good. and the other entree ordered was the holy basil stir fry. This also received good reviews. cream cheese wontons to start were excellent with a lot of crisp and cream cheese. Service was very friendly and fast. we went at 7:20pm on a Sunday night, they close at 8pm and they started mopping and cleaning the restaurant right at 8pm, which wasn't the nicest smelling or ambiance providing. I would try this restaurant again and look at one of the many curry's or stir fries instead of a noodle dish (they only have 3 to choose from).

One of my favorite places on the Eastside

The pho and catfish curry are always a must have for me there! I like getting the basil fried rice with the curry - it comes with white rice. The space is small but I've never felt like it was crowded whenever I'm there.

Great Thai food!!

It is a small restaurant on Payne Avenue but we have always found a place to sit. The wontons are the BEST! Eggrolls are also very delicious. I order #18 (stir fry) every time but with different meat -- shrimp, chicken or beef. We see many people order the soup but we have not tried that yet. We also place orders to pick up and their portions are very generous. You must try this place!

best sesame chicken I think I've ever had

small space - they make an attempt at decor more than others; the pad thai is nothing special but since we've been there a few times we must like it because my husband will not return to a place that doesn't impress the first time. Not a great place for large groups at all

So Flavorful!!!

We stopped here a few minutes after they opened on a Sunday and knew it was going to be good before we even ordered just by how quickly the tables in EST were snatched up by patrons. My husband had the Pho combination and though he tried his best, he could not finish the extra large serving. I had the Vegetable Medley Stir Fry with Crispy Pork Belly and the flavors were amazing!!! This place isn't fancy, but for reasonable prices you get plenty of tasty food and great service from the staff.

Best Thai food

Family-owned, they take great pride in serving the best Thai food. I don't know what to recommend as everything I've had is delicious! Worth the drive from anywhere in the Universe!

My go to for the best Pho!

I've been here several times, dine in and take out. Service is normally consistent the waitress is always pleasant here!!! I have had some mix ups on my takeout orders but i can't complain about the food. We love love love the eggrolls but they are a bit pricey (2 for $3something) and iced coffees, the pad thai, massaman curry, drunken noodles, but most importantly the pho. It comes in 3 or 4 sizes and then you choose meat (beef or combination). I don't like the meatballs and they are usually light on seafood but the crispy fried pork belly is the most important of all. I usually order for two and we share a large beef pho with a side order of CFPB and it the perfect amount of meat for the dish. The must have to a good pho broth is lime juice, basil, red pepper flakes, hoisen and a dash of sugar, although my boyfriend claims it's the jalapenos and fish sauce. I degress 😆 Small little restaurant and it's always busy. Expect to wait to be seated during busy hours and there isn't much of any waiting area.

We decided to go for Thai, and wanted to explore a new place. Almost didn't make it because it appeared really busy from the road. But, so glad we changed our minds and went back. Best decision! The spring rolls were freshly rolled and the Kao Poon? Pretty much perfect. The beef Pho was also excellent. Helpful staff provided prompt service. We will be back.

Nice neighborhood lunch

My nephew and I ate lunch here last Friday. It is a nice neighborhood restaurant serving Thai and other Southeast Asian dishes. We both enjoyed our meals: he had sesame chicken; and I had Pad See Yew, a house specialty. Since I am not a connisseur of food from this part of the world I can't really speak to the authenticity factor but I would recommend giving it a try!
