Last evening we made our first visit (many more to follow!) to Joan's in the Park. Joan welcomed and seated us and checked several times to see how our evening was going. Susan, executive chef, came out mid-evening to see how we were doing. Our...More

Went back (again) for dinner last Wednesday. We sat in the patio which was lovely and breezy. I ate the raw scallops, beets, corn dumplings and the halibut. Everything was excellent and well presented. Our waitress was super attentive and really sweet. We have been...More

A delightful prix fixe menu. There was something for everyone. You do need to be adventurous. I enjoyed the walnut tart with chicken liver mousse. It was a treat, but unfortunately filled me and left me unable to consume the main course. But no problem,...More

Had a lovely night celebrating Mother’s Day and my father in laws birthday. We arrived 10 minutes before our reserved time and we did not get seated until 20 minutes after which was a big disappointment. Once we sat down the service was lovely along...More

There isn't much to see from the outside, but the inside decor is tasteful with limited and intimate seating. Four-course meal was great. Service was awesome and we left feeling satisfied.

One of the best meals I have ever had - don't let the location fool you. The staff is amazing, the food delicious, and small enough that you don't feel like a number. We enjoy this for special occasions.

I have tried Joan’s multiple times. I honestly don’t know what all the fuss is about. Overpriced and inattentive staff. Maybe it was better when they first opened up? There are so many better options in St. Paul.

This is a very small restaurant with a set menu. There are four courses (choices for each) at $62 per person. You can also order courses individually. Choices are fairly limited, and portions are quite small. The 4th course, which is an entrée, is $32...More

Do to caregiving responsibilities, we hadn't had a date night in 1 1/2 years. Imagine my dismay to find out I had somehow screwed up our Open Table reservation at Joan's. They couldn't get us in at a table (too cold to sit outside), but...More

Joan’s is a local favorite. The menu is always full of variety and unique surprises. Many locals are frequent and it’s likely full of academics and physicians.
