When we arrived we were seated right away. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made a few suggestions. Our pizza was delicious. The crust was crusty yet chewy. We had an olive appetizer that was also very good. The music was not loud so we could hear each other talk.

Great selections for food and drink, quiet place, fun atmosphere, really good food. A little pricey for the coal fire hype but the pizza was quick and great.

We ate at Black Sheep a couple weeks ago when in St Paul for the weekend. Our flight arrived late into MSP so by the time we checked into our hotel we were pretty hungry. We came across this restaurant as we walked around downtown St Paul. It seemed interesting and inviting from the street and we weren't disappointed! Both... More

Very tasty pizza, crust is perfect - light, crispy and fresh. Ingredients are fresh too. Staff is nice and service is fast.

This little unassuming looking shop served me some of the best pizza I've tasted in my travels. Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar looking at the giant coal fire oven. Everything is made fresh in front of your eyes and the ingredients are top notch. If you have a pizza crave, you can't... More

The crust is fantastic and the ingredients were delicious. I have definitely had better pizza, and certainly had a lot worse. I would have liked more cheese, for sure. I found the pizza to be expensive, even for StPaul, but not totally unreasonable. As a starter, I split the spinach and blue cheese salad which was delicious and did not... More

Decided to try this restaurant after walking past it on our way to the children's museum. We built our own pizzas. We got 12 inch pizzas. One for our kids and one for my husband and me. Delicious crust. Love it being coal fired. Sauce was perfect in taste and amount. Toppings were great that we had ordered (pepperoni, cheese,... More

The crust was actually perfect for wood fired. That is where my happy experience ended... The one I had was flavorless. In fact, Tombstone would have been better for flavor. Thank God I had some water to drink so I had something to taste.

Just a fantastic tasting pizza - equal to its Minneapolis sibling. The atmosphere of the restaurant could be improved (i.e. local artwork, etc.) but the pizza and service is really stellar. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to eat there again.

Ordered mine to go and was impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Not your typical unhealthy indulgence but rather a well crafted meal. Bit on the pricy end for pizza but you do get what you pay for!
