Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. Very sensitive to allergies. My husband and I both had salads and he had two bites left when the waitress came to take our plates and he would let her take his plate because he wanted to eat every bite. Yes, the salads are that good! Our picky eaters (the kids) also loved their food.

Lovely! Saturday night, boyfriend wants to go out to dinner and we’ve no reservations. Usual suspects fully booked and found Mill Valley Kitchen had openings. Mario, our server, showed genuine pride of how the restaurant pays reverence to the use of local, organic ingredients whenever possible; and he went over and beyond ensuring our wine was a perfect choice. Our beet salad was made with frisee greens bathed in an excellent dressing. The Cioppino was a flawless fusion of herbs and saffron, and the sea bass was good. To top if off, Mario created the perfect elixir of dessert tastings (you might have to charm your way to get this!). Mill Valley Kitchen is in our top tier for restaurants in Mlps. Thank you, Mario et al, for a perfect evening!

We made our second visit to Mill Valley Kitchen on Valentine's Day, and it was an even better experience than the first time. We went with mixed greens and the striped bass for two special. The bass was delicious, and provided us with leftovers for a couple days. I also had a beer and my wife ordered a bottle of wine. The seem to have a very good wine selection, and a decent number and variety of beers.
I may be wrong, but it seems like they've removed a few tables since our last visit. It was very packed in then, but it seemed much more open and easy to move around this time.

I have been one of the most loyal customers to Mill Valley since day one. New management has moved in and the prices have increased beyond what the experience has to offer. I have been the loudest cheerleader any restaurant could have and now, sadly, we will have to find a new restaurant to enjoy.

Wow. What good food! And no pretensions! We ate in the garden outside and our four meals were simply the best. Wish we could go back but we are tourists here for the state fair.

With a reservation we were seated promptly at 5:30 in the bar area (happy hour). A person arrived to pour waters almost immediately. Then we sat for 25 minutes while waitstaff walked by and ignored us repeatedly. Finally I flagged down a dining room staff member to ask if anyone was assigned to our table. He immediately took our drink and food orders, after which the waiter who was assigned our table showed up to take our order (day late; dollar short). The bartender was swamped (apparently under-staffed) so our assigned waiter was helping out behind the bar while ignoring us.
After drinks and food arrived, our assigned waiter was still bartending part time and never returned to so much as ask if our food was satisfactory. After another long delay he arrived to ask if we wanted the check, and we asked if there was a dessert menu. He brought a dessert menu, and then ignored us for a very long time AGAIN before taking our dessert order. After we finished dessert and got the check, the waiter again ignored us for a long time, and an open field tackle was almost necessary to give him our check!
There clearly was no dining room manager checking whether customers were being waited on in a timely manner and whether waitstaff were covering their assigned tables. We were all but invisible to our assigned waiter for our entire time there. We paid a minimal tip and will not be back anytime soon.

My favorite spot in Twin Cities that never disappoints. Literally every item on the menu is a hit! By Chilean bass is my absolute favorite.

The food was yummy, but the service was pathetic. We didn’t receive our side dish and when we pointed this out, our server said, “oh, I see it!” Then she said because it sat so long, she would have it re-done. We didn’t get it and asked to have it removed from the bill. The bill included the item. We asked for a revised bill and we got someone else’s bill. The server thought it was funny. We didn’t.

We had 4 different meals and a shared dessert. It was wonderful. I had one of their flatbreads. I had it because I wanted something light. I have had flatbreads before - they are fine....normally. This was wonderful. I would order it again in a heartbeat. The atmosphere was fun and the service very good. I will return. I highly recommend this.

We had a very nice dinner with friends this past Saturday evening. We had reservations, and asked for a quite area. They seated us in a booth, which was fine for conversation. They had just introduced their winter menu, and we tried three of their items == all very good. They also have a nice wine selection. It was a very nice evening.

Friends brought us here for dinner. Be sure to have reservations. The place was packed. The restaurant has tables on one side and an open kitchen. Everyone enjoyed their food. The chicken on risotto was amazing. A great find. Can hardly wait to return.
