Incredible ambience. Festive, all decorated for the holidays. Terza managed to achieve that subtle optimal balance between intimate and energized. The restaurant was packed (for good reason), but there was no sense of chaos or being overlooked. The wine selection was impressive, the bartender cordial. The quantity poured was generous (which is unusual these days). The hostess went to extra effort to make sure we were settled and satisfied. Our waiter Noah was the quintessential server -- personal and attentive, yet not intrusive. Knowledgeable and confident, yet without a tinge of arrogance. He is a professional. The menu is a delightful read. The beet salad and Caesar salad were surprisingly large and very good. We had wonderful entrees - the Insignia Scallops (pan seared with truffle oil and mushroom fond blanc - WOW!) and the fresh hand-crafted Tagliatelle Wild Mushroom (also with truffle oil - WOW!). Noah convinced us to add a side order of Wild Mushroom Risotto, which was amazing. Yes, we took some food back to the hotel fridge. We have dined in many fine restaurants in major cities in the U.S. Terza competes with any of them.

Terza is the only reason I actually get excited about having appointments at Mayo. We've tried different restaurants in Rochester but since going to Terza on our first visit we make sure to go there every time we have an appointment at Mayo. The staff is incredibly nice and very attentive (but not overly), every entree and salad we've had rate a 10 and we have to end each meal with their amazing creme brulee. Though the restaurant is always crowded the ambience is wonderful and you can actually talk with the person next to you without having to speak louder. WONDERFUL restaurant. A true gem in Rochester.

It had been a while since we last visited TERZA in person due to Covid. Now with dine in restrictions lifted, this place is officially open for a sit down meal. The decor is as I remembered, lovely with textured ceilings, large paintings, vases and the place has a vibe of a restaurant in Chicago or New York. Much care is taken with using fresh ingredients of superb quality. The dishes are tastefully presented. Our sever had the perfect balance of serving without overpowering! He made sure to come in and check intermittently if we needed anything as well as the progress of our orders but gave us enough space so we could spend some quality time with the family.
What we ate/drank
Alcohol free Mojito: the first drink of choice for me. This was so refreshing. My daughter took half of mine but I still got to have some!
Fried Calamari- our daughter’s favorite. The lemon aioli was absolutely delicious. The fried calamari had a crunchy, thin batter without the batter taking over the dish with pecorino.
Wood Fire Garlic Shrimp- the presentation of this dish was pretty awesome. Garlic butter shrimp with spinach, roasted tomato, oregano with a sprinkle of crushed ciabatta toasted to perfection. It came in a slotted dish and looked really cool.
Wild Mushroom Bruschetta with basil, fontina cheese and truffle oil is delicate and
Margherita Pizza with pecorino, mozzarella, provolone, tomato, basil and olive oil with slightly
Chicken Piccata: this was delicious. It had a subtle buttery flavor (you could taste the butter) but there was no excessive sauce all over the dish. Personally I don’t like pasta drowned in sauce so this was just perfect. Angel hair pasta with capers, wild mushrooms, shallots and Parmesan and herb crusted chicken breast beautifully presented with a lemon butter sauce.
TERZA Classic Lasagna Pasta with Chicken. The dish is vegetarian but you could add any meat to it for an additional price. You can taste the freshness of the handmade layered pasta by chef Vincenzo Giangiordano that comes with ricotta, mozzarella and provolone and the famous ‘red sauce’ or mother sauce.
Creme Brûlée: the custard base was rich and the caramelized sugar had a light crunch.
Chocolate Almond Torino x2 (took one home) was very popular. Chocolate almond cake with chocolate mousse, ganache and Bailey’s zabaglione was light yet elegant, fluffy and very much appreciated by the chocolate lovers. It was the perfect Italian dessert.
We will definitely be going back again :-)

My wife and I were in town for Mayo clinic. There are a hand full of high-end restaurants as it is a small town. We opted for Terza as it looked elegant with a convenient location downtown. The server was very attentive and made several suggestions.
For main course I ordered Insignia Scallops and Ravioli. The Scallop dish a la carte had 8 small Scallops for $40 at a cost of $5 each. The Scallops were done right and tasty, however not enough so waiter recommended a side of Scallops, I agreed and did not ask for the cost (my mistake). The A la carte dish had 3 small Scallops for $27 - $9 each! You can draw your own conclusion.
The Ravioli ordered was not cooked correctly thus very hard to enjoy.
As this was a special occasion for my wife, I chose not to complain about the quality and particularly the pricing - I regret this decision to this day.

It was two of my kids first time at Terza. We heard so many good things about the place so, we decided to go there,
but when we were there it was a big disappointment. I feels bad for them. The server never come and check on us we ask for a spoon we never got it. The menu are limited the when we talked to the manager he doesn’t seem to care. He is rude and unhappy so we decide to pack up our food and bring it home. I don’t think I want to go there for my birthday. One and done! Our server Amber could of done better!

We saw signs for this restaurant in the Mayo Clinic skywalk and decided to try it as it was adjacent to our hotel. The inside of the restaurant was very nice—great atmosphere. They boasted in their advertising that they served crafted cocktails, so I was excited to try something. I was very disappointed when the list of crafted cocktails consisted of five drinks. Nothing looked appealing, so I asked if they could make a lemon drop martini. The waitress assured me that they could. The presentation of the drink was beautiful, but the drink itself wasn’t very good at all. I was very disappointed. I wasn’t even sure it was made with vodka. The taste was very strange and it was overly lemony. I decided to stick with only water from there. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer. They looked delicious, but again, they were not great. If you want a good meatball, go to Victoria’s. I decided to order a side of gouda hashbrowns for dinner as I had already been very disappointed and didn’t care to spend much more money. The hashbrowns were fine. My husband ordered Chicken Parmesan and he said it was good, but not as good as Victoria’s or other Italian restaurants in the area. I doubt we will ever return as it was a pricey and very disappointing experience. We will stick with Victoria’s as we love the food there and have never been disappointed.

Rochester started a "restaurant week", first time they tried it. I think 30 restaurants participating. Supposedly they all created a special menu for this night. We chose Terza, because the other couple had gift cards. So 4 of us, reservation for 6:30 PM on Friday, January 20, 2023. We were seated at the 1st table in the corner right next to the front door. Even though there was a full wall cabinet of wine bottles between us and the front door, every time the front door was opened we got got a blast of frigid cold January air.
According to our tab, our server's name was Dolly. She was very pleasant, but apparently new on the job. She didn't know how to open the bottle of wine we ordered, spilled it on the table when pouring. She gave us regular dinner menus and did not seem to know about the "special menu" for the week. We finally received the menus, but she never told us anything about it. We overheard another server at a nearby table talking about how the pasta is made from scratch in house and other information we would have appreciated knowing before ordering.
The 4 of us tried all 3 appetizers on the special menu and shared them. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan and I had the Chicken Piccata. Both were fabulous. The four of us could not finish our meals and took the rest home. For dessert there were only two choices, so we asked about the regular dessert menu. Our server, Dolly brought it out and told us any of them could be ordered without extra cost. Five minutes later she came back and said, they were extra cost. Hmmm, ordered dessert of Creme Brulee and Crema al Limone. As we were waiting to get our check, an overpowering reeking odor (someone said it was salmon) permeated throughout the dining area. It was a horrible smell. If it was salmon it was a really bad one. This is a lovely restaurant and we were attended by at least five of the staff. But it is very expensive here. More than $250 for 4 people not including the tip.

We first sat at the bar to have happy hour drinks and an app. Service was slow but friendly and drinks were made well. Although our drinks weren’t discounted our food at the bar was. We tried the jumbo chicken meatball with pesto sauce and the regular meatball with red sauce. The chicken and pesto was amazing and huge!
Once we sat at our table service was even slower. Our food came before our drinks and it took forever to get our bread- which was delicious. We shared the chicken Parma ( delicious) thankfully as it was an enormous portion and the fingerling potatoes. Unfortunately, the potatoes were served cold and we sent them back only to wait f.o.r.e.v.e.r. for another serving that was slightly warm. The manager did come over and apologize and offered to get another one out but by this time we’re finished eating. If you can tolerate the mediocre service, the food is worth going here.

As soon as you walk in the door you'll sense that you're about to be amazed. Ambiance is warm and friendly, and service is attentive, friendly and memorable. Even before we had ordered we knew this would be special. We dined once in July '22, and twice in Sept '22 (while we were in Rochester for 2 nites). We ordered Lasagna with Meatballs and Chicken Parmesan the 1st time, and were astounded by the flavors, the preparation and the presentation. The Lasagna/Meatballs dinner is so amazing we ordered it again the 2nd and 3rd times we returned. The Chicken Parmesan was probably the best I've had. The 2nd time we also tried the Pepperoni Pizza and Chicken Piccata and savored every bite. The Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo was exquisite on our 3rd visit, and we savored again the Lasagna/Meatballs. We live in the Twin Cities and wish we were closer – will probably make the drive soon to experience this again.

My wife and I consider four criteria as most important when choosing a place to dine - ambience/atmosphere (e.g. noise, setting, seating, energy, etc.), food/wine (e.g. selections, quality, taste, etc.), service (waiter, knowledge, attentiveness, timing, etc.), and economy (i.e. is it worth what we paid). In all four categories, Terza once again gets an excellent rating.
The setting is always enjoyable, comfortable and energetic, but not over the top). The food and wine selections are diverse, well prepared and presented, and tasteful. I've not had better chicken parmigiana. The wine selection, while not lengthy, is well chosen and pairs well with the menu. Above all, the waiters and their colleagues to a superb job. McKenna was no exception - knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and confident. Lastly, we felt our meal was not overpriced and the portions are certainly reasonable if not generous.
We will be back, many times.

This lovely addition to the Rochester culinary scene is a wonderful place to have a nice meal in a refined atmosphere. We were warmly welcome, shown to a cozy table, and presented with menus to peruse. There were so many delicious items on the menu that we had trouble deciding what to order. Our waitress was friendly and made helpful recommendations based on our preferences. We shared the wild mushroom bruschetta, poached pear salad, the salmon, the gnocchi, and the wild mushroom risotto, and everything was superb. Everything was clearly made from scratch and in-house, and it showed in the quality of the food. The service was impeccable. We'll return here the next time we're in town.

I visited Terza while in Rochester for the marathon. I arrived early around 5pm and was able to be seated immediately. Nice selection of items to choose from on the menu. Since I was running in the morning I decided on a margherite pizza and chicken parm dinner. The pizza was good for an appetizer. However if they would have used Roma or San Marzano tomatoes instead of the large sliced tomatoes it would have been much better. The chicken parm was good and I really enjoyed the mother’s sauce. I wish I would have known the side of pasta was served along side the chicken was a garlic & oil dish because I would’ve had the mothers sauce instead. I just didn’t want the taste of garlic during my morning race.
Overall I’d recommend Terza. The service was great and the food was very good.

Be sure you have a reservation most of the restaurants in this area are very busy in the evening. Seated right away by friendly greeter server was right out offered a craft cocktail. Bread and EVOO was brought out on recommendation of server I enjoyed the parmesan walleye most likely the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating.
Nice wine by the glass choices. Great experience here!

Let me start by saying I rarely order any type of red sauce at an Italian restaurant. It is either too sweet, too bland or too boring. My husband ordered the meatball appetizer to share with the table. I can't explain the incredible flavors of the meatball and then to taste the mother sauce. I have never ever tasted such an amazing red sauce before. After eating the appetizer the four of us used the bread that was served to mop up the rest of the mother sauce. Excellent! I decided to order the ravioli's with the mother sauce and let me tell you it was the best Italian dinner I have had since going to Italy. My husband and son had the wild mushroom tagliatelle with four scallops added, they raved about their dish as well. The service was top notch as well. Our server (sorry I forgot his name) was awesome. I highly recommend going for dinner. We will be back! I am now in search of the mother sauce recipe.

TERZA has a good reputation in town in terms of high quality food and fresh ingredients. It always lives up to our expectations whenever we visit. It’s not a cheap place though but considering the quality and standard, it’s not a surprise. What we ate:
Complimentary Olive oil & Bread: had to remind myself not to fill up before the main meal came!
Mushroom Pizza: They make excellent pizzas. All the 3 pizzas we ordered were very good. Garlic oil, fontina cheese, wild mushrooms, fresh thyme and truffle oil.
Prosciutto & Fig Pizza: ham, figs, olive oil and cheese with fresh arugula
Margherita: mozzarella, basil and olive oil- took this one to go for the kid at home
Polenta: crispy but creamy inside- have to order next time too!
Lamb Shanks served with polenta: while the polenta was lovely as mentioned before, the lamb was flavorless, tasteless and hard without any seasoning whatsoever. And I mean no seasoning- not even salt.
Creme Brûlée: my favorite dessert of all time. I will order it if a restaurant has it. This was delicious as usual.
Nojito: it was a bit bland and I asked for some extra syrup.
