Great burgers and a quirky little joint of a restaurant. Eat here each time I visit Rochester! Staff is really cool and fun to talk to!

The bacon cheeseburger comes with two strips of excellent bacon on a very tasty burger. I don't eat many burgers but will go to Newts to eat one.

We arrived in Rochester and immediately read in ads that Newt's allegedly offered one of the best burgers in the state. We had to check this out! But we were sorely disappointed. If Newt's had the 18th or so best burger in the state, Minnesota's hamburgers leave a lot to be desired. We've had tastier burgers at Steak'n'Shake. The service... More

Newt's was awesome! Beer, ESPN everywhere you turned and fantastic burgers. The wait staff was excellent and we had a great time at Newt's. Try the Potato Poppers. They are fried but well worth salads the rest of the week...

A life long favorite was removed from Newt's menu last year.. The Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. Bad decision by management there! They were the absolute BEST item Newts had.. :-( If you order their chicken strips though.. You won't be disappointed at all ! With choice of dipping sauces... YUM

There was a lot of hype about this restaurant before we went and I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. We ordered several different items to try a variety but the most simple juicy Lucy burger was the best of the three

Great gathering place with good burgers and beer. Fun place. Very good service, not for fine dinning though..

There is a reason that they are the number 1 burger restaurant in Rochester year after year. This is an informal sports bar. Service is very good and prices reasonable. Food is good! They even bring a big bowl of popcorn to your table

Today I selected the Marvin Burger with a spicy chipotle mayo sauce, cheese and smoked bacon. The burger was seasoned and cooked to perfection plus they grill the butter buns which gives them a totally distinct flavor:-) My husband had the Fish & Chips and he thought the cod fish was well seasoned and though battered, it wasn't greasy. Their... More

Newts has been around Rochester for 25+ years and I have never had a a bad burger there yet. I have to confess that I always get burger meal there because they are so good. My wife has had their chicken sandwich and she loves those too but the burger reigns at Newts! It is a family friendly place no... More
