This may be the way it is prepared in Minnesota, but still really good. Just tell them to hold the pepper. Very tasty Bruschetta as an appetizer. Menu is not large so suggest you go there with an idea what you want. They also have something called a gyro pizza...did not try, but saw other orders of it. (Not your... More

I recently ate dinner here with several colleagues after a late day meeting and had a great time. We had drinks in the lobby seating area while we waited for everyone to join and I was happy to see they had Bells porter on draft. Once we got seated we ordered some random apps for the table and the calamari... More

My wife and I have travelled to Rochester MN every 3-4 since 2012. We have eaten EVERYWHERE! Yes Chesters, Pescara, Victoria's, Half Barrel, Terza, are all great restaurants; however 300 First at 44th is a travesty. We had two delicious appetizers wild mushroom canapé and crab cakes along with two specialty martinis made expertly by Jenn the great bartender. She... More

Spent a couple months and several return trips to Rochester in the past 10 months. Pretty much ate everywhere downtown and this place was the best by a mile. The wait staff was fantastic, great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. The cheesecake for desert topped off a great experience. We have dined here on three different occasions and each... The great historic atmosphere and sophisticated decor really made for a wonderful start to our meal. Service was spot on and the food was amazing. The Boursin stuffed chicken was wonderful with the only caveat being the sauce was a bit spicy past my preference. Everyone else in our party loved their entrees. Didn't want to leave, it was so... The ambiance is great; modern downtown vibe. Waitstaff gets their job done, nothing to write home about. The salad was disgusting; then the house salad I had to replace that was a flavorless bag of ice burg lettuce. The calamari was great but the 'buffalo sauce' was drizzled on the side like an afterthought. The scallops were okay but the... More

This is one of our top 2 places in Rochester to eat. Great food, and great service. Excellent for a romantic date night. Definitely the Filet Mignon and add Prawns to it - is one of my favorite items on the menu. Their Cream corn is the best ever! Great drink menu also!

We like 300 First with its exposed brick walls, high beamed ceilings and cozy booths. It is a good place for a romantic evening or a larger gathering of friends. But be warned, if you are seated at a table, quiet conversation can be difficult on a weekend evening, as it can be a bit noisy, so ask for a... More

We had a group of 15 that met for dinner at 300. Out waitress was extremely attentive and had drinks and appetizers out very quickly. The steak bites, ravioli and onion rings were all delicious. All the dinners we ordered were tasty and the steaks were cooked spot on. When I asked if anyone could think of something that didn't... More

Thursday night. Not crowded. Immediately seated by hostess. Then 5, 10, 15, 18 minutes. Hostess brings water to table. We wait 2 more minutes…why. We leave. Too many choices in RST to have been neglected. Won't return.
