We are staying downtown during a Mayo Clinic visit. Many restaurants in this area - Pescara was a half block outside walk on a dreary evening. Chills turned to thrills as we viewed the menu - so many delicious options! The cheese with figs appetizer...started off the tasty evening with its diverse textures. My date loved the chicken pomodoro - house made pasta with generous size perfectly prepared chicken breasts. I leaned towards the scallops on the main menu, however when Steve our waiter described the off menu grouper with yucca and pineapple salsa plus chimchurri, that delightful description easily changed my mind. Beautiful presentation caused my mouth to water before I smelled the wonderful aromas followed quickly by confirming the delightful palate. Steve’s partner Bernie charmed us throughout our dinner experience with her prompt care of our water glasses, table cleanliness and conversation. Such a fabulous experience not to be missed - Thank you Pescara!More

My experience with Pescara was a bit of a mix. We did dinner take-out so I can't judge the service. As for the food, the calamari was a little soggy by the time we got it back to the hotel so it probably wasn't as...good as it would have been if we had dined in the restaurant. I started with the lobster bisque, which was very good. My wife enjoyed the short-rib and the shrimp fra diavolo was fair. The entree portions were nicely sized. I would definitely give them another try if I returned to Rochester.More

Of all the restaurants in the downtown area I’ve visited this is the best for service and quality. You definitely get what you pay for here. Excellent seafood and perfectly cooked steaks. Great wine list. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive.

Our favorite restaurant in Rochester for our Mayo Clinic visit. Tuna Tartare is excellent as well as the oysters on the half shell. My husband always orders the Cioppino. You can not go wrong with the fresh fish selection, flown in and excellent quality. Due...to limited seating during Covid best to make reservation.More

Fine Dining and excellent service. We started the meal with Calamari, which was very good. Not as good as its sister restaurant Terza. The Walleye and the Prime Rib was very god. Service was exceptional.More

This restaurant is exactly what Rochester needs: an upscale yet laidback restaurant that serves fresh food and provides an all-around classy experience. While this is mostly a seafood restaurant, they do have plenty of other non-seafood options. We ordered a few dishes and shared, and...we all loved everything. The burrata plate was wonderful, as was the ahi tuna poke, the cream of mushroom soup, the lemongrass crusted tuna, and the wild mushroom risotto. The service was prompt without being intrusive. The restaurant is spacious without feeling too cavernous.More

We had dinner at Pescara on the evening of August 15th, 2020. Our server was Michael and he was absolutely amazing. He was very friendly and attentive. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. The food was delicious and fresh...tasting. The cocktails we ordered were unique and awesome! I ordered the shrimp and lobster risotto and my husband ordered the scallops. We finished it off with a rich chocolate torte! We loved it here and will definitely be coming back!More

Wife and I had our eyes on Pescaro for some time and finally stopped in to sample their fare. Both my fish tacos and her mushroom risotto far exceeded expectations. Bottomless cokes and coffee, courteous staff, prompt service, well-spaced tables and booths rounded out the...experience. Reasonable prices. Looking forward to a dinner at Pecaro on our next visit to Rochester.More
