We were taking a ride to enjoy the river bluffs and wanted to stop for lunch in this area. I guess we should've known it was more of a bar for the locals. Very loud. We were showed to a table with a nice view...of the river so that was a plus. The waitress took our drink orders and came back 20 minutes later. Disappeared again and finally came back for order and that showed up in 45 minutes. Salads ok, those who had burgers said they were so-so and cold fries. Glad we have plenty of other choices and don't have to go back.More

They were out of French fries so we substituted for baked potatoes they come to the table sliced in half and they were rotten. I am not sure how to cook or serve or could even do this. We ask for replacements 20 minutes later...nothing came she came back instead of I guess their out of those now. She deducted $2 I ask for sauce for my chicken Melt it never came, sandwich was gone. I used some of my friends salad dressing she also requested more. Tired of waiting just left. Not the waitresses fault it's the establishment one waitress outside on the patio for 10 to 15 tables. Poor service Which What's the restaurant's fault for not having ample staff. The food no excuse, out of the sausage and no fillets. Don't remember ever this bad.More

Kelly's has an extensive menu with lots of different options. My patty melt was good along with the slice of turtle cheesecake I ordered. My vegan friend enjoyed the walnut burger. I was very surprised how packed the inside of the restaurant was. Every table...was filled and there wasn't one open seat at the bar. I feel I am pretty Covid comfortable, and I've been dining out, but the inside of the restaurant seemed very full for social distancing standards. Thankfully we were able to sit outside. Because the restaurant was so busy, I think out waitress was overwhelmed. Once the food was delivered, she never came to check on us besides to deliver our bill.More

My sister and I each had a burger. She had the olive burger and I had a burger with egg and bacon on top. Both yummy burgers. You get a free side of either kettle chips, coleslaw, or potato salad. The coleslaw and potato come...in very small covered cups. To substitute sweet potato tots or a side salad, it's an extra $2. The restaurant was crowded on the Friday night we dined. Sadly, service was slow. Our server apologized for the slow service as two servers called in sick that night We sat outside. Beautiful evening. The restaurant had nice live music. Very enjoyable Lots of on street parking. I definitely will eat here again.More

Went on a Saturday night and got the last open patio spot - which was great except it was one of four tables that have all sun and no shade! At 6pm on an August Saturday - hot!!! I was happy to be outside but...would also like to not be dressed up and melting! And easy fix is adding an umbrella to the outside wall/decking which would have provided SOME shade for me & the three other tables. Note: it likely is only this hot in these spots from 4-8pm (depending on time in the summer) when this patio area experiences the full, setting sun. I imagine this entire patio is shaded during the lunch hour when the sun is directly overhead. Being so hot, almost too hot to even eat -did make me want to drink more. But every table on the patio was packed and only one/maybe two servers that (may?) have also served as bartenders? They worked their butts off! So I give them props. But I never got the waters I ordered (would have helped) and slow on refills of beer. Food; husband ordered a steak and fries but got the sidewinders in error (that's okay) and his meal - good but not great. No S&P and they forgot to bring when we asked (and they were busy!) and had to ask twice for H57 sauce. I ordered a belly buster burger - recommended by waitstaff and it was AWESOME- but again, almost too hot to eat. But great flavor!! I am empathetic of all restaurants have to go through right now and we did have a good (hot!) experience. Staff was hard working and did their best but being so hot and with their limited attention - made it a three star experience. I would go/try again as they had some appealing menu items!More

I'm visiting Red Wing for a few days and saw the add for Kelly's in my hotel's guide to the area. I decided to give Kelly's a try after a 50 mile bike ride on the Cannon Valley Trail, and I'm sure glad I did....I ordered a side salad which was fresh and satisfying, the "Bang-Bang Shrimp" which was very tasty and filling, and the pepperoni and sausage pizza which was very good, although it was heavy on the cheese (next time I'll ask for 1/2 cheese, but this is a personal preference issue). From order to delivery it was about 40 minutes, my food was hot, the server and driver were very courteous, and I'll definitely be visiting Kelly's in person once this crazy COVID-19 thing is over!More

My wife and I visited this restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic. I had the burger with mushrooms and fries and it was delicious. Staff were wearing masks, and were very friendly and helpful.

After touring the Red Wing Shoe and the Red Wing Pottery museums and Goodhue County Historical Society we dined in the historic Old W. Main district. Kelly's has a fun sports-bar atmosphere with 60 beers on tap. Our server was friendly and efficient. We lucked...out and got a booth by the back windows over-looking Kelly's ground floor outdoor patio, the railroad tracks and the marina with the Mississippi in the distance. Interesting to watch train engines pulling graffiti-covered train cars by as well as barges on the river. The Haddock fish sandwich was large, hot and crispy on a toasted hoagie bun; with a glass of Guiness made for a very good meal.More
