A Very friendly family restaurant. Beautiful German Murals. Great German Entres. Most German foods made from scratch at the Kaiserhoff. Has been in New Ulm 77 years. Well known for BBQ Baby Back Ribs.

We stopped for lunch, so did not have the ribs that they are known for. I had the landjager instead of a bratwurst. This is a beef and pork sausage. It was very very good. Their sauerkraut had been cooked with pork, and was some of the best kraut I've ever had. The German potato salad was quite vinegary though.... More

While visiting the area, we asked our relatives where they would like to dine. We traveled about 45 miles to reach Kaiserhoff -- one of their favorites because of its BBQ ribs. Most of us ordered the ribs and they were very good. Ray's salad, a speciality of the house, was a combination of iceberg lettuce, bacon bits (real bacon),... More

We all had their famous ribs which were delicious. Many sides are offered with the meals. We enjoyed looking at all the photos on the various walls of the Kaiserhoff.

My husband and I ate here on our way back to Omaha from Minneapolis. We both had one of their specialties, German style ribs with German potatoes...having been in Germany recently these items came close to what we got in Germany. For a Saturday afternoon they were really busy, but the service was attentive and we got the food fast... More

Grew up in NU and have eaten here many times, but not for a long time. Funny that not much has changed in 30 years. Interior is really dated and could stand for some updates. German fare is not what I would describe as true German, but certainly not bad. I ordered the walleye, which was huge, but unfortunately just... More

I felt it was a poor attempt at real German food. Having been to Germany many times I guess my expectations were too high. We ordered a $20 sampler. 1 portion of red cabbage, one portion of potato salad (super sour) and two sausages. Enough bread to feed 6 people.

Bavarian Blast weekend and hardly anyone eating there. Dining room we were in was so noisy could hardly hear each other. Décor hasn't changed in years and needs updated. Food was ok but nothing special. Thank heavens we had a very nice waitress.

Stopped by from Bavarian Blast 2016. Walked inside, and it felt more like a 50's or 60's diner, with all the photos of old movie stars and jukeboxes at the tables. Sauerkraut soup wasn't the best Landjager, Rohtkohk, spatzel, and the snitzel was fine. They could use a drink menu, but the beer was cold, the service friendly.

Great food to keep in the German atmosphere. The ribs were wonderful! The German potato salad was great, too. We were full the first night, so we came back the 2nd night just to have dessert! Apple Struedel and German Chocolate cake were delicious!
