Bavarian Blast weekend and hardly anyone eating there. Dining room we were in was so noisy could hardly hear each other. Décor hasn't changed in years and needs updated. Food was ok but nothing special. Thank heavens we had a very nice waitress.

Stopped by from Bavarian Blast 2016. Walked inside, and it felt more like a 50's or 60's diner, with all the photos of old movie stars and jukeboxes at the tables. Sauerkraut soup wasn't the best Landjager, Rohtkohk, spatzel, and the snitzel was fine. They could use a drink menu, but the beer was cold, the service friendly.

Great food to keep in the German atmosphere. The ribs were wonderful! The German potato salad was great, too. We were full the first night, so we came back the 2nd night just to have dessert! Apple Struedel and German Chocolate cake were delicious!

Walked in from a hot summer day and immediately froze. The air conditioning was on way too high...I had to use a fleece jacket to stay warm. The inside is what many have said...a trip to the 70's! It is as if nothing has been updated in a very long time and the smell confirms that. It is interesting, but... More

My wife and I visited New Ulm and came to visit Veigel's Kaiserhoff to taste their famous pork ribs. The attendants are very nice, but the place is dark. The ribs were good but not as extraordinary as we had expected them to be, so we did not eat much.

Not 100 years back in time but back to the ugly 1970s. It was a beautiful day when we visited but there are only a couple small windows in the front and most of the restaurant is dark and depressing. I had heard this was a historical place with a long history and looked forward to a place with character.... More

Heard about this place for years. Was expecting much better quality food... therefore was disappointed. The food wasn't bad, just not as good as other places we have eaten. One interesting food was the salad which I think they are known for. It has the salad dressing mixed throughout the salad so you don't need to. Personally I thought it... More

I was so looking forward to a good German meal. Hubby and I both had schnitzel. The red cabbage was delicious. The schnitzel must have been a frozen entree. The meat was grey, the breading was hard as a rock, they must have deep fried it. This had to have been the worst restaurant meal of my life. Save your... More

To go & dine if in New Ulm. Even among the Locals, which I am one, the Kaiserhoff is a legend, and rightfully so.Known especially for ribs but honestly, it's all good!! A little bit of "Germany" in New Ulm, MN. :)

When you stop in for lunch, ask for a "Ray's Salad" or a "Louie Benson Special". These are a couple of their signature offerings, along with their world-famous sauerkraut balls. Even if you don't like sauerkraut, you'll probably love these things. :-D
