I particularly like the famous Al Pastor tacos. The place is near my brother’s house so when I’m in Minneapolis, I love dining here.

One of the few taco places on Lake St that has ample parking in it's own lot. I ordered 4 different tacos ($1.99 each) and they were all good. Got a large Tamarind punch which turned out to be way too big plus it was...pricey at $4.75 The staff was really friendly and everything was very clean. German at the register was great. I wish I had taken some pics of the dining room because it is now way more cheerful and bright than the current dark photos you see here. The chairs are painted a range of pastel colors and there is lots of sunlight coming in. For 12:30 on a Monday it was fairly quiet. A mix of Latinos and Anglos. Check out the awesome Mexican western wear store next door. Huge selection of cowboy boots and hats.More

The tacos were tasty and fresh. The taco prices were pretty cheap at $2 each but the drinks were expensive ($1.60 for a 8oz can of coke). It was pretty busy so no parking spots in the lot and a long wait for food. I'd...eat here again so I definitely recommend.More

Excellent and authentic Mexican food and drinks. Fast, friendly staff. The atmosphere is very casual. You know it's good when a Mexican restaurant is filled with Mexican customers. That's where I want to eat.

I stopped in around 5pm on a Tuesday. The place was pretty empty, so we weren't sure what to expect. My friend ordered the Veggie Burrito and loved it. I ordered a Barbacoa Platter. The price was about $8 with tax for each and it...was a ton of food. My platter came with a ton of meat, beans, rice and little cute tortillas. Somehow I ate it all, but I was full for a whole day after this. The food was good, but not as flavorful as I usually like. But definitely worth a visit!More

Everything is cooked to order, and served in a no-frills cafeteria style atmosphere. Authentic flavors and great variety in terms of tacos. There are also tortas and quesadillas so there is something for everyone. Best of all are the prices, the food is tasty and...it wont break the bank.More

Every time my boyfriend and I go to uptown for any reason, we make sure we stop at La Hacienda to get the delicious tostas. He loves milanesa de res and I love the chicken torta. The bread they use is absolutely delicious- and we...also accompany it with some delicious tacos. Carnitas are our favorite!! If you're craving for some Mexican food, this is the place to go!More

I've been coming here for years and the food and quality was worth the cost. I agree that they were worth the best of Minneapolis rating in 2012. I have to not been here in about 18 months I live in the northern part of...MSP so I was looking forward to this meal. I am not going to be coming back. The cost was always a bit high but the amount and quality was worth it. I'm not a radical restaurant foodie guy who is out to play a gotcha! Then play the game's the others play. The cost is now an issue as meals have shrunk and the quality of the food is now making Taco Bell look good.More

Supposed to have the best el pastor in town, however the spit grill was not on and the pastor was being carved off of it and fried on the grill. I found it a bit dry but maybe that's how they do it. I'm game...to try it again. It's another Lake Street gem and I like trying them all. Great tacos carne asada and pozole which came with some loaded up tostadas with beans and cheese. Located right behind Pineda Plus (the orange building), also good food. Order up and know your numbers in Spanish! Plenty of places to sit down. Loved it.More
