Hot Plate is known for its unique Nutella, peanut butter and bacon pancakes. Our house specials include the Grand Marais and Carnitas scrambles. The caramelized pecan rolls are also a mouthful, try them and let us know. We also test new and original dishes on a regular basis. Those getting the two-thumbs-up are likely to make it into our regular menu over time. We are open everyday. MON-THU 8:00am to 1:00pm, FRI-SUN until 2:00pm Fridays we also have Taco Night 4-8:00pm. Waiting times vary on weekends, but you can expect from 15 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays to about 45min on Sundays. We cannot take reservations given the small size of our dining area, but we try hard to keep the waiting time

Really enjoyed breakfast here. Best advice? Get there early! We had a couple of terrific breakfasts (I loved the biscuits and gravy!). Service was spot on. Kitschy decor. We can’t wait to go back!

The daily scramble (special) was outstanding. Doesn't open until 8 AM, but was practically full by 9 on a Monday morning. All the figurines and kitsch makes it a wonderful neighborhood hangout, with good food to boot.

The kitschy decor with paint by number pictures and more is a good backdrop for a delicious meal. Lots of choices: eight types of pancakes, hash, french toast, multiple egg dishes and so much more. Be prepared to wait, especially on weekends.

I have visited this restaurant during the week and Saturdays. I would NOT recommend Saturday unless you want to wait - usually there is a long line waiting for seating. The homemade hash is outstanding and is only offered during the week. The pancakes are...More

Call and fiind out. As the others have said, it is very small. We sat outside.....I don't think you are going to want to do that now!
