Bunny's is very much a neighborhood place for drinks and basic food in St. Louis Park. It's a casual hangout. Food was good - not amazing. Service was casual and friendly. Bloody Marys are very good. Some brunch menu items come with a free Bloody Mary and a beer chaser. That's a nice idea!

Great staff, was able to accommodate a group of 32 people on a last minute basis. Food was fantastic, and the complimentary screwdriver or Bloody Mary with certain breakfast orders were fantastic! Great time was had by all.

For something that appears to only be a bar for sports, lottery, and lots of tv's, this place brings on great food, hilarious servers, and free popcorn. They treat kids very special and do not push them aside. While I cannot say the food is spectacular, it is amazing for the place, their purpose, and the price. As you would... More

Had a bite to eat at Bunny's with a friend. Parking lot was packed for a Monday Night Football game. Nice selection of beers and pretty varied bar food menu. Had a veggie burger, and my buddy ate a club sandwich. Both were fine. Service was good. Prices are reasonable. Energetic atmosphere. Not a destination place, but passable or a... More

Stop in once a week for drinks, popcorn and check the blue plate specials. Great club sandwich, hamburger, pizza, walleye and soups. Nothing bad---always consistently good---not just a bar---real good grill.

First, Bunny's is a bar. But it's a place that cares about its food. This is local spot that it renowned for its breakfast, especially Sunday Brunch. The menu is exhaustive offering everything from burgers to pasta -- and its all very good. If you want TVs with a full crowd experience, just hang out in the main bar. If... More

Stopped in Saturday evening with a group of 6. This is your typical noisy sports bar. Got Seated right away. Service was great. Beer was cold, food was average. Price was average.

I had the best chef salad here! It was HUGE!! Lot's of meat, hard boiled eggs. and lots of cheese! I have had the Dante's Inferno Sandwich there -- it has got a little bit of heat to it - lots of meat too.

I've been here many, many times through the years since I was young. It's a great neighborhood but the scene is not a big bar ambiance around lunch time. My sister and I stopped in for lunch last week. Nice booth. Staff was more than helpful! I had a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup that was good followed by... More

Description
Bunny’s opened at 4730 Excelsior Boulevard in St. Louis Park in 1933. One of the most often asked questions over the years has been, “Where did that name come from?” The story goes like this… The original owner, Henry Aretz, was in need of a sign for his new bar, Aretz’s Place. However, the sign maker had a different idea. He had made a mistake on a sign that read “Bunny’s” and, not wanting to scrap the job, asked Henry Aretz if he wanted to buy a sign “real cheap.” Henry, knowing a bargain when he saw one, bought the sign, and Bunny’s was started. The Aretz family owned Bunny’s until Gary and Sherman Rackner bought the bar in 1988. Bunny’s became a Bar & Grill, with the addition of a kitchen in the fall of 1988, and continued its tradition of a place where local patrons could relax with friends, catch a game, and also have a great meal.

Unfortunately, Sherman passed away in 1997 and, due to the proposed redevelopment of Excelsior Boulevard, Bunny’s had to find a new location by the end of 1998. In January of 1999, Gary brought in a new business partner, Steve Koch, and they reopened Bunny’s in its current location. We are happy to be in St. Louis Park and look forward to being a fixture in the community for many years to come.

In memory of Sherman Rackner, Gary’s father and business partner, we have named the back bar “Sherm’s.”

Sherm, we hope you are proud!
