The only thing holding this back from a top rating are the sketchy bathrooms. The food was very good including their broth-based chicken wild Rice soup. The value was excellent as I had the soup and their sandwich feature and it was under $10. Not a huge beer selection but enough to find a good one. For value and the... More

Typical pub food, good selection. We always stop here before a Twins game. Good location near the light rail.

Perfect place to stop before or after a Twins game! The food is great, nice beverage selection, super atmosphere! Just a short walk to Target Field.

This is our favorite "go-to" place for lunch when in downtown Mpls. Always consistently good service from friendly servers. Never had a bad meal, and reasonable prices for the standard bar menu. Decent turn around time for the meals considering the busy lunch crowd. Sandwiches are a knock-out but stay for the chili!

Great food, great atmosphere, perfect place to grab a drink and get a bite before the game or if you happen to be downtown for any other reason!

I stopped in for lunch on my second day in Mnpls. The service was excellent, sat at the bar, had the chicken chile and was quite pleased. I stopped in the next evening and sat for about 10 mintues at a table in the bar. No one waited on me. Went to bar to ask for a drink. That took... More

Prince and the Loon both gained acclaim on First Avenue, in the early 80's. While the local artist was creating Purple Rain, the Loon Cafe was creating Pecos Red chili -- a different kind of heat. Owning a shop on the street, provided a nice window on a very hot summer. Drawn to Loon at by day, and to First... More

The Loon Cafe was a walk by decision that turned out excellent. The burgers and sandwiches were tasty and filling. I would recommend this place to all. We had excellent service on the patio.

Well, I do love a good fish taco and the Loon Cafe has them! I am always trepidatious when trying fish tacos in another state other than Colorado so to my surprise, these were some of the best BREADED fish tacos I have had. They were crispy, not soggy, and sweet, not fishy! The fish was fresh walleye breaded with... More

We did not sample the food here, just made a beverage stop on the way to a ballgame. The service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was fun. The restrooms not too fresh. It was early in the day, so thought they should have been better. Not a big enough issue to stay away. I would stop here again.
