On a pleasant summer Sunday afternoon, folks are leaving the Twins game... families walking by. Nice. Great selection of draft beers. Good food. My Reuben sandwich was a little light on sauerkraut, but otherwise, fine. Good fries. Good sauce. 7 high-top tables outside, on the east side of the building, so always shaded. In the afternoon. Umbrellas and awnings MIGHT... More

We had some time to kill and were a little hungry prior to a late dinner, so we asked about a nearby spot for lunch. The recommendation was Loon Cafe. So we hiked over and had the fish appetizer, house chili, house special soup. All were uniquely amazing and we would go back again. The setting was perfectly comfortable and... More

Another shot in the dark and while it started out a success it quickly dropped to average. I had the hot chile which was good, spiced right needed more heat but it was fine. Then the walleye dinner which was a plateful of yumminess. It was a nice large piece of fish, good fries, and perfect coleslaw, my problem then... More

We had a booth in the bar area. My husband ordered the quesadilla that was very good, filled with lots of cheese and ingredients. I had the Minnesota Wild Rice soup and it was delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly. This cafe has been at this location for over 20 years. I think kids could eat in there during... More

Back in the 80's before it became a sports bar. My home away from home. Friends with bar staff and owners. Good food then, too.

We selected the Loon Cafe for its location near Target Field where we were attending a Twins game. We paid for event parking across the street ($16), and walked over to the charming cafe/pub. Outside seating was taken, so we headed inside where we were told to select any table we liked. The building itself is lovely with high ceilings,... More

Service was above average. Not busy after Twins game so very quiet. Food very average especially for prices of drinks. Bathrooms are down old wooden winding steps into basement. Weird.

The only thing holding this back from a top rating are the sketchy bathrooms. The food was very good including their broth-based chicken wild Rice soup. The value was excellent as I had the soup and their sandwich feature and it was under $10. Not a huge beer selection but enough to find a good one. For value and the... More

Typical pub food, good selection. We always stop here before a Twins game. Good location near the light rail.

Perfect place to stop before or after a Twins game! The food is great, nice beverage selection, super atmosphere! Just a short walk to Target Field.
