Consistent and convenient!

The Loon is a classic Minneapolis landmark. Always good for a quick bite or drink before going out. Food is exactly as expected.

Try the chili! I had the Pecos River Red and is awesome! I also had the Philly Cheese steak sandwich Wichita was also very tasty. This is a bar/pub setting so it will get loud but the staff was great, the place was clean and the food is stellar. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect for beer and party, very kind staff and sport bar-like. However using the term "restaurant" do not apply.... This is unprocessed food like burger and sandwich and they are not the best of the town, just ok...

My friend and I were in downtown Minneapolis on December 19, and were walking around and decided to stop into this restaurant. The both of us were pleasantly surprised with the good food. They also have a live band as well but nothing was playing at the time we were there. The restaurant is very close to the light rail... More

Iconic Minneapolis cafe.....great food and wonderful service. Had family and friends for lunch while Christmas shopping on a weekday. Parking was pretty easy. Food was very good. I had walleye tacos and they were delicious. Others had burrito, salad, soup, BLT. All the food was very good and good sized servings. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable.

This restaurant is a sports bar atmosphere. I wouldn't go with children if it was late in the evening, but during the day I think it would be ok. Very unique place to eat.

The Loon is a must stop for our crew, when visiting Minneapolis. We ate there a couple of times this past trip. From Sliders to Steak sandwiches, you can always count on getting a great meal there. Even the though the bar was extremely busy, both nights we were there, the service was excellent. A must stop while in Minny.

My husband and I went for a bite to eat before the Twins game tonight. Great food and beer and fast attentive service. Will go back for the next game.

I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon and was blown away by the atmosphere and decor of this place. It is like an old time cafe with a bar. It's obvious this place has been around a long time and has developed its own character over the years. The bartender was super friendly. She said that their speciality is chili.... More
