Just down the street from the Target Center is the Loon Cafe. They offer several types of chili and a very good craft beer selection at reasonable prices. The rest of the menu is well rounded with bar food. Our choices were Texas style Chili and a specialty style popular locally. Texas chili has traditional chili pepper flavor with abundance... More

I was here with two friends, one a vegetarian, and it was perfect for us. It’s near the Twins ballpark so there's baseball (and sports) stuff everywhere, and signs that say "Baseball spoken here". The atmosphere on this Saturday, non-baseball afternoon was convivial and upbeat. It’s not a huge place, especially if the back section is closed as it was... More

One of the best places to mix bar with restaurant. Great food at fair prices and atmosphere to boost. Catch all your favorite games, on the many TV's or sit back and enjoy the vibe. A Neighborhood Bar atmosphere with a downtown Minneapolis location and crowd.

Met up with family members for drinks and a bite before the Vikings football game. Ordered the Pecos Red Chili "HOT" with warm Texas Toast. Great flavor and good heat, even though I would consider medium heat. The drinks were served promptly and stiff...Nice job! The great thing is when we were finished we jumped on the train and it... My husband and I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We were greeted immediately and treated well. There was plenty of seating available so we had our pick of spots (window etc). This restaurant has a fun relaxed atmosphere and would be a comfortable place to enjoy a few drinks. We were there for lunch only though so didn't... More

I love Minneapolis. I love pulled pork. Finding this place scratched both itches big time! The sandwich was huge..hot..super tasty! Fries were killer. Vibe was total Minnesota sports with flat screens showing all Minn sports. Waitstaff super good. All in all A HARMON KILLEBREW HOME RUN! GO!!

Every time we are in Minneapolis, we stop at the Loon. This year was no different. Felt nice when one of the servers recognized us from previous years. Not sure if that's good or bad. Like usual, the drinks were cold and the food was great. Fun atmosphere in the bar. Will always go back.

On a pleasant summer Sunday afternoon, folks are leaving the Twins game... families walking by. Nice. Great selection of draft beers. Good food. My Reuben sandwich was a little light on sauerkraut, but otherwise, fine. Good fries. Good sauce. 7 high-top tables outside, on the east side of the building, so always shaded. In the afternoon. Umbrellas and awnings MIGHT... More

We had some time to kill and were a little hungry prior to a late dinner, so we asked about a nearby spot for lunch. The recommendation was Loon Cafe. So we hiked over and had the fish appetizer, house chili, house special soup. All were uniquely amazing and we would go back again. The setting was perfectly comfortable and... More

Another shot in the dark and while it started out a success it quickly dropped to average. I had the hot chile which was good, spiced right needed more heat but it was fine. Then the walleye dinner which was a plateful of yumminess. It was a nice large piece of fish, good fries, and perfect coleslaw, my problem then... More
