I was really craving a good German meal. Looking at reviews from various sites, this looked like a good bet. When I arrived, I stood around next to the hostess stand for several minutes and no one spoke to me. I finally took a seat...at the bar and got the same treatment. The bartender was tending and talking to a small group at the other end of the bar. Several minutes passed before I finally got her attention and ordered a beer. The beer was cool, as expected, but the bartender immediately went to the other end of the bar w/o striking up a conversation at all. After having a few sips from my pint, I again approached the hostess stand. After waiting several more minutes, I was able to waive down the server who said that she would be with me in a minute. As it turned out the only waitress was also the hostess that evening. She seated me and I didn't see her again for 7 minutes. There was only 1 other table being served. My order was finally taken and the service was fine from there until it was time to pay. The salad was chilled and the bread fresh. The balance of the food, Rouladen with potato salad and red cabbage was served hot and fresh. The food itself was not outstanding. It did not have the flavor that usually comes with German meals, especially red cabbage...it was bland. There was live accordion music being played which was perhaps the most enjoyable part of the dinner. The bill came well after I was finished, but by then that was expected. This was not a good experience and perhaps the very few people who were eating there is reflective of my experience. I have only been here once, but it was not a good showing.More

We had a wonderful time for our friends birthday dinner. My wife & I shared a platter for two. Very generous portion. We took a lot home with us. It was a wonderful dining experience.

This is a place to get some good solid German food. Portions are large. Fun wait staff. There was a guy playing an accordion walking around taking requests.

We went here with a group of 6 adults and 4 children. The portions where incredibly large and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. The platters from family style and everything was delicious! We tried the shrimp, Kalte Gemischte Platte and...German Cheese appetizers, the schlemmerplatte -gourmet platter, gigantic meterbratwurst gasthof, kasseler rippchen und bratwurst, and the huhnchen brust. Great drinks on tap as well! We went around 8 pm and they were still busy and had a man playing an accordian visited each table. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and atmosphere and it quieted down around 8:30 so we were also able to converse. Recommend, but make a reservation in advance!More

My daughter took here for my birthday and the food was amazing. The atmosphere is also awesome and it feels very authentic inside the restaurant. There was a man playing the accordion and he was a delight. I was given a free slice of cake...which was heavenly. Their spaetzl is unbelievably good. We ordered one of the platters and split it and I still brought enough home for two meals.More

We traveled in a group of 40 and were seated in the private hall. Food and Service were outstanding! The accordion player was awesome. Probably the finest German Restaurant that I have visited.

This restaurant throws the best Oktoberfest celebration. Definitely worth going to see. However, do NOT make the same mistake my family made. We had dinner, then went to the Oktoberfest celebration. The server at dinner had way to many tables. He was a good server,...but everything suffered because he couldn’t give good service to the amount of tables he was attending. It took close to 20 minutes before we were even approached about what we wanted to drink. It took another 20 minutes to get the bill. Way to expensive of a place to eat to be so terribly understaffed that you treat customers that way.More

My wife and I came for dinner and had the Bavarian House Platter for two and it did not disappoint. Everything was fantastic. The Rouladen was top notch. The Jagerchnitzel was so good as was Everything! The atmosphere was festive and We WILL be back!

We were looking for the best goulash in the metro ended up here. when we asked for a sample the server/bartender was resistant in providing. After a bit more conversation he did bring a sample however it consisted of broth nothing else. That was insulting...and it wasn’t good so perhaps he knew that. The environment is loud and not very welcoming. We did enjoy the accordion player he was very personable. Would not recommend this place for goulash or if you’re looking for a welcoming feel.More

This was my second vist and I was looking forward to another wonderful experience but it fell short. The blueberry brat was burnt to a crisp and the duck was nothing special.

The bigger the group, the better they like it! Very family-type of place. Personally, i'd feel comfortable with folks from 0 to 120 years old in the group.
