You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

Food and venue nice; service was lacking.

Food typical of an Ike's-like establishment - lots of carnivore-centric dishes. Burgers of all of us were appropriate and tasty (my turkey burger was better than I hoped). The service was reminiscent of a drive-through.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the only choice is the family style brunch. We were served a huge caramel roll, which was pretty good. Then we got a choice of eggs - scrambled, omelet station, quesadilla style or Benedict. I chose the eggs Benedict, husband had the scrambled. They were just not good. Not much... More

GO HERE!!! best best atmosphere and staff is terrific and the food was wonderful. from steaks to over the top steakhouse burgers, and quirky Blue plate specials. Terrific bar, very retro and old school atmosphere yest lots of late 20's early 30's couples at the bar. this is now top of our list of fave spots in MNPLS

This is one of my go to pubs for food downtown. I have yet to have bad service, nor a bad meal here. It is a little tight so you may have to wait a bit for a seat, or deal with tricky seating for large groups though.

We enjoy going here for drinks and sitting at their huge old style bar. Such a neat piece of 'old Minneapolis' so go if you get the chance. Seth is great at the bar and mixes awesome old style cocktails. We actually decided to eat dinner there in December for a change of pace from other places downtown. Unfotunatley we... More

Ike’s has a classic steakhouse feel, warm and inviting on a cold Minneapolis evening! I enjoyed one of their specialty burgers and a couple of local beers during my visit. It was obvious the staff have been there for a while and know their restaurant as well as their customers. I felt more like a local than a visitor. I... More

Nice.place to eat. I ordered eggs benedict and bacon for my breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic but the poached eggs were cooked for too long which is why I am not giving 5 stars. The yolk has to be runny for eggs benedict and this yolk was hard. Overall, I enjoyed Ike's and was provided with good service and... More

Never mind being delayed when traveling through the Minneapolis airport - simply head for Ike's in the mall area of the main terminal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, or cocktail, you can't go wrong. We've been eating at Ike's since it first opened in the airport, and it has always been consistently good.

Been there twice now, once a few years ago. This time I would say my Walleye(crusted) was poor. When I visit Minnesota I want good walleye, a restaurant at prominent as Ikes could/ should do a better job on this classic fish. Had a bite of my friends Maui, and it was good, not great. The server was personality-less.

My husband and I have been here multiple times because we get local radio coupon deals. They have great burgers and wings, but I haven't had anything I am dying to go back for. Great spot before or after a Twins game or other event. Good food, fun atmosphere, full bar.
