It's closing but the dueling piano bar will always be remembered, as will the unique cuisine. It was an interesting place.

If you're looking for a fun night in Minneapolis, this is your spot. You've never seen anything like it. Even if you're only a casual polka music fan, bring your dancing shoes.

We visited Nye's for a late night sing-a-long and it was a great time! Sad to hear it is closing for real this time, this truly is a Minneapolis gem for any crowd. Sure hope there is another option for a night on the town with classy folk!

Food was delicious as always! Unfortunately Nyes is closing for good in April so the place was packed. I hope everyone in Minneapolis/st Paul have experienced Nyes at least once. The end of an era!

the service is excellent, food- excellent, atmosphere- excellent- Absolutely the best. Its a shame that this wonderful place is seeing its last few weeks. It is an ICON in Nordeast Mpls. Takes you back to the 50's. (literally). You'll see. All the original fixtures including chairs are still there and in excellent shape. Get the polish soup- its to dye... More

bad bland food. perogies were fried. prime rib sandwich was gross. service was fine. it appears owners are holding out for place to be torn down and property redeveloped. bathrooms were dirty and gross. way over priced.

Visit this place before they close. We got to the bar around 11pm, and the piano area was still crowded. We elected to visit the other side and listen to the polka band. The whole decor of the place is oddly elegant, as you can imagine the place being the go to spot many years ago. It is your prototypical... More

What a hoot! I felt like we were back in a 1950's nightclub. There was a large main room with a piano and bar, a raised section with plastic, metallic booths and... best of all, a polka room. The drinks were awful, but that just added to the ambience... which is really the only reason that someone would go there.

We have been wanting to come here for years and finally decided to visit before it is gone forever. What a place. Very old school with padded booths, old style dim lighting and lots of noise. Our server was fantastic, everything we ordered or asked about came with a story. She was so much fun to listen to. Food was... More

Nyes is a throwback, crowded with a friendly crowd, friendly bartenders and live music. I would come here more for entertainment value than food, quality drinks etc. it's about to close permanently so go soon just to experience it.
