We enjoyed birthday dinner at the B & B and totally enjoyed it. We had guests with preferences from keto to vegan, and all were happy (especially the keto). Friendly staff, and you could actually talk in between bites.

Food was good, but too loud. The Brussels sprouts were good, but I can’t recommend because it was very loud. I couldn’t hear our server and we couldn’t converse across the table.

I'm a pretty picky eater and so was hesitant to eat here. I decided to be brave and try it. Let me tell you, it was wonderful. We started out with the pork and cheddar sausage. Very tasty and housemade. Went onto the warm spinach...salad. One of the best I have had. Very tasty and unusual. Lastly, the main course consisted of the beef long rib for $57.00. We shared it. Very large. Our sides were the smoked carrots and the sour cream-chive mash. Both sides are sharable as well for $9.00 each. Very unique flavors and very high quality food. The only down side was it was pretty loud and hard to carry on a conversation without raising our voices and the tables are very close together. Not good for an intimate date night.More

Me and my husband have been there for our wedding anniversary, we were convinced by friends even though we're not huge meat eater. We had a quite good experience, however I found the price a little bit higher than what the value is. Food per...se was good, but the place was super loud and space between tables non-existent. Nothing wrong with it, it's just that I was expecting something fancier for what we ended up paying. Now at least we know what we can expect.More

Had a really good dinner with some coworkers. Two had a bison steak which was great the other had steak. We had a few sides to share. The food and service were excellent. However, don't plan on having any conversation. It is really loud in...there. Seated so close to another table I could just as well shared food with them.More

If your up for a splurge in Minneapolis, this is the place. We’ve made a few visits since they opened the doors in 2012, and unlike some, they have kept the experience fresh, entertaining and, of course, continue to produce some of the finest restaurant...meals in Minneapolis. You cannot go wrong with their signature Pork Chop, Long Rib or Wagyu Ribeye. The Chefs Sausage Sampler, Charcuterie, or Wood Grilled Oysters are amazing starters. The have a massive bourbon menu, and their craft cocktails are very well executed. I personally love their Wisco Old Fashioned. You can’t go wrong here, yet your wallet/purse may be a bit lighter as you leave 😉.More

We had a party of 8 and were lucky to sit in the private Butcher Room. The menu is preset for the room, but there was a huge variety of food. It was fun to see "meat and potatoes" people try new foods. Some were...greatly enjoyed, while others weren't so popular. I really enjoyed the charcuterie platter, beef long ribs, and smoked pork. We had great service with excellent wine pairing suggestions. My only "complaint" is that there was way too much food. Sometimes big portions are great, but it was incredibly wasteful. The good news is that a majority of the extras are donated to a homeless shelter.More

Grabbing a steak on the road...that happens a lot. Grabbing a beef rib fired in salt and sugar..:that’s unique. This is my second time at Butcher & Boar, and I have become a big fan of the unique and tasty menu. Loved the beef rib,...the mushrooms, and the croquettes. Plus, our server was friendly and attentive. Great recommendations and lots of smiles.More

We went here with some out-of-town company for dinner. They had read about this place and wanted to give it a try. I made a reservation about a month in advance. Even on a Tuesday evening, this place was packed. All the servers and staff...were really nice and friendly. After ordering some drinks we settled in to look at the menu. This place is all about the meats. We ordered an appetizer of B&B Hot Link Croquettes that were really yummy. Our friends split the Smoked Beef Long Ribs. We both had the Berkshire Pork & Cheddar Sausage. We also ordered two side dishes of potatoes- fries and mashed- for the table. All were great and this was plenty of food. Two terrific desserts followed that we split- a version of S'Mores and Apple Crumble. Everything was done up right and tasted great. This is an expensive night out so be prepared. But, for a special occasion, it was tops.More

This was our third time at Butcher and the Boar and the first for the others in our group. All enjoyed our experience! The food choices were extensive and unique. We all enjoyed the rare items on the Chef Crafted Charcuterie. Highly recommend the Smoked...Beef Long Rib. It was amazing ... melted in the mouth with an explosion of flavor. The brussel sprouts were incredible. Couldn't stop at just one. The server was very good. He was knowledgeable and if he didn't know the answer, he took the time to find out. He was very attentive, but not overbearing. You'll enjoy this place more if you are a hardy meat eater and willing to try new things.More
