The food, while creative and well-presented, has some issues. Some dishes are just too avant garde to be appealing, some are not flavorful enough, and some portions are just too tiny to be counted as a course. Maybe I'm not hip enough, but I won't be back.

I waited almost a week to publish this review! We were very excited to visit this location in Minneapolis and had been thinking of heading down for quite a while. We used a special occasion to make a reservation and honestly looked forward to the experience for several weeks based on reviews and of course the awards bestowed on the... More

I would have given just 3 stars, but the excellent service raised it to four. My meal (the veggies) were so salty I didn't eat them. And since the food there is so expensive it's a shame to leave so much on the plate. This was my second time there, don't think I will need to return on my next... More

The restaurant is tastefully designed in a renovated old building in an older part of the city. There is abundant wait staff who are very efficient. One appetizer was Hakurei turnips, fermented ramps, duck confit, sprouted spelt, and spiced yogurt. One entree was Sockeye salmon, broth of summer greens, shelling peas, radish leaves, barley, and pork fat. All dishes were... More

As a farm to table restaurant, the menu changes often. Zucchini, broccoli and greens (kale and collard) were in season so many of the menu items featured those ingredients. The roast Zucchini appertizer was excellent as was the oyster mushrooms with collard greens and wild rice. Excellent deserts too!

Was glad that we booked a late dinner at Bachelor Farmer when we visited Minneapolis. Everyone in the party agreed that their dishes are delicious and fresh. They had a great way of mixing vegetables to bring out the freshness of the produce and interesting textures/flavours. I wish I could be back again and taste the rest of the menu.... More

First off, a huge shoutout to both General Manager Erin Rolek and our server Kiera for taking such good care of us during my wife's birthday celebration. We received impressive service from one of the best restaurants in Minneapolis. We ordered the toast with cow's milk cheese and followed that up with the whole wheat fettuccine and a lamb chop,... I loved everything about this restaurant, from the old warehouse building, the funky but welcoming atmosphere, engaging service, and the music that was just the right volume to the interesting cocktail menu (I had something with mead and pear cider) and delicious fresh different food. Every bite had so many complementary flavors going on. We shared an appetizer, toast, entree,... More

This is a hot ticket for fine dining in Minneapolis, equally full of downtown types and curious suburbanites. We went with friends for a late meal. Environment is casual modern with Scandinavian flair, but a little crowded. I found the service to be excellent, as you would expect at a top fine dining establishment. Ingredients were of great quality and... More

This is a locally sourced farm to table restaurant. All food was well prepared but the menu is very limited and changes daily. We had the cheese toast which was good but not great. Two in our party ordered the Sunday supper, a three course meal with a delicious beet salad, an ordinary but moist roast chicken with vegetables and... More
