We had a very nice time at this eatery with a group of friends. Pleasant space and decor, and friendly servers. The food was definitely the high point; We tried the Laab, the duck rolls, Falafel, Minh Bahn, pork chop and the burger. Loved the Rosemary aoli that accompanied the fries! They don't take bookings so we went early to... More

A great little neighborhood cafe. Unique decor (love the wall of mirrors and the retro TV stand turned into an aquarium!). And nice that happy hour begins at 2:30! We stopped for an afternoon bite. Delicious burgers. Will definitely return to check out other tasty offerings!

I have now eaten here twice and was not once disappointed. Went once with my husband and our friend. Next time with a friend. Service was great. They have put some wonderful effort into decorating so the atmosphere is cozy and fun. All the food was loved by all. The wait staff make it clear they are happy to be... More

I ate at Blackbird on a weekday late morning, so it wasn't crowded. Service was wonderful. I had reasonably priced (10.00) poached eggs on spinach with delicious toast from a neighborhood bakery, jam, and a side of fruit that included blackberries, orange quarters and other fresh tasty fruit, I wasn't surprised that the restaurant was noisy- their website proudly says,... Funny thing happened on our way to Revival Last Saturday night. We passes Blackbird Cafe on our way. I had been looking at their website & menu recently, and decided I wanted to try it some time. Revival had a TWO hour wait, so we decided to try Blackbird. We walked in, the place was warm and inviting, & lots... More

Went here with a friend just this evening, had never been before. I had the shaved apple salad, the spicy peanut noodles w/ chicken, and the chocolate pudding cake for desert. All were absolutely fantastic and the service was excellent as well, with many water refills! I will definitely be back to try the Banh Mi.

I had the oxtail hash on my first visit here. Delicious! The shredded oxtail was sauteed and mixed with cubed beets and carrots, resting over a base of hollandaise sauce, then topped with two fried eggs. The seasoning was excellent. The thick toast was especially tasty after sopping up every drip of this delightful concoction. I'll be back!

Came for late lunch. .....location is an issue here for parking. Right on the corner of busy Nicollet Ave, street parking necessary. During work week that means competing with clients/customers of the many nearby businesses for parking. Small quaint dining area and separate bar, has decor of the holiday season and whimsical touches like a wall of framed mirrors and,... More

I especially like that you can get small plates of HEALTHY good tasting food. Not the same old fried carbohydrates you get at most places. They change menu frequently, always interesting things to try like cauliflower hash. Service is good, especially at bar.
