This place is one of my favorites. Fresh food fried right where you can see it. Small restaurant that is always full and lively. Quick service, friendly staff! This restaurant has a local feel with great homemade food. Order the fish and chips with the homemade tartar sauce and you can't go wrong!

Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. Always try to make it in when I am in Minneapolis.

This is a local favorite. The fish is to die for, and so are the mushy peas and the coleslaw! The fish portions are huge, and it is located in a great neighborhood with little shops.

The Mrs and I decided to go here one Saturday and I'm glad we tried this place. The service was good and fast, the fish and chips were good but I was hungry when I left despite the hostess warning us how much food we would get. It's just a little place so you might have to wait to get... More

We love going here, the best fish and chips and mushy peas. Large fish fillets and the chips are cooked to perfection. Just like being back in northern England

We both ordered the fish and chips. The chips were delicious and the cod was perfect, fresh and flaky. Fun bar atmosphere. My wife who lived in London for a time said it was the best fish and chips she'd ever had. We will return.

Great fish and chips. ( the fries are great) service nice! Good to know you can get great fish n chips in northeast MPLS. Wine is not overpriced. Highly recommend.

My first visit won't be my last! The wild Arctic cod hand dipped in a secret flour batter was moist, warm yet so flavorful holding the juices in. I took time to indulge in a second slice and the homemade coleslaw was exceptional. Hint: get a seat at the counter and partake in the enjoyment of watching the cooks go... More

Walking into The Anchor builds your anticipation only because of the number of people there! Shocking actually - even on a Wednesday night. They don't take any reservations, and only seat complete parties, so it can be a bit frustrating, but it's not keeping people away. After a bit of a wait we were seated in a great booth and... More
