This place usually has good reviews, and for good reason. I'm a big fan of fish and chips. The fish fillets were tender and big. Fries were tasty too. Limited outdoor seating and it gets crowded.

If you love fish and chips, this has to be a stop for you. Great atmosphere for a gathering of family or friends. There is some variety on the menu - both food and drink. Be ready to wait a bit in the small entry...but definitely well worth it.

A huge piece of Alaskan Cod is perfectly fried in special oil, sprinkled with salt. The chips are like steak fries served with white vinegar. The British use malt vinegar. They open this small pub like joint at 4PM and the lines waiting to get a table start around 5. Not open Mondays but serve an Irish brunch on weekends.... More

I have to eat here a couple of times a month as I crave the fish and chips! I've gotten used to the white vinegar and enjoy the beer selection. Have had fantastic servers and chatted with the owners on occasion. I recommend tracking down their food truck around town as well!

Great service, great atmosphere, and the best fish I've had in years! This will be a place I'll visit every time I'm in the cities!

The fish & chips were less exciting but I've rarely tasted a burger this good. Do get it with the cheese- it's perfect as a compliment. Also loved the Cole slaw. This place is super popular so expect a wait.

Apparently this restaurant is super busy. We were at a nearby bar so ordered takeaway to bring back with us to the bar since we knew we had seats there. Very tasty fish and chips.

The Anchor Fish and Chips is a high point of dining in the Twin Cities area. They have the feel of a big city restaurant but still manage to have midwest prices and service! The fish is always hot and tasty, and I don't usually care for fish! Other dishes are available but they all pale in comparison to Fish... More

Checking on line for good food tips, I found this spot. I am a Brit and always on the lookout for good fish and chips, of course. Well, I have to say, this is really an excellent find for me. It is a small, neighborhood pub with a few tables out front to wait or eat. Small inside with several... More

I have family in England so have had many opportunities to visit and have Fish & Chips. I have found no place in MN that serves anything coming close to Anchor's authentic Fish & Chips. They also serve excellent Mushy Peas which is an English staple.
