A frequent destination during a walk to relax and eat a light meal. Quality, pleasant, appealing and unpretentious. Everything they offer is attractive and good: food, bread, pastries, home made products like jams. Attention is on quality. All have Lucia's thoughtful touch.
This is the kind of food I love. Everything is fresh, seasonal and locally sourced. Breads and pastries are baked onsite. The 3 salad sampler is lovely, with s choice of 6 fresh salads to choose from. Bread accompanying my soup and on my sandwich has a lovely firm crust, soft center and very flavorful. The crepe I tried one... More
Biscuits live here ... Plain ones ready for jam and honey or a version with ham and cheese. These are really delicious. Other greats are the cold press, bagged salads with maple dressing (great for that dinner you have to bring something for), their Valrhona hot chocolate mix and homemade marshmallows. Many of their products are from local providers. Fantastic... More
One of my favorites for a quick breakfast. Very good coffee! Great jams for your pastries. Delicious quiche and crepes! Order at the counter and hope to find a table!

The chocolate sea salt cookies are amazing and if you don't take home a loaf of the gooey centered cinnamon raisin bread you are crazy. Great deal at night. Always crowded at peak times,... More

I had to try this place out after reading about how good their scrambled eggs were in a newspaper review. I wasn't disappointed. Light and fluffy with fresh chives sprinkled on top and on the side was their popular seeded bread. The homemade jam and apple butter for my toast was delicious. Of course I had to get one of... More
I love this place. It's simple, unpretentious and delicious -- a great spot for a carefully prepared, boldly flavored sandwich or a frittata and a cup of coffee. What I love most about it, though, is the way it caters to a certain segment of the area population -- literati, well-heeled Kenwooders, refined hipsters, tenured academics, hardcore Prairie Home Companion...
