Visited here a number of times and found the service to be excellent. No complaints about the food. The crab cake appetizer and burgers are excellent. A little pricey, but not out of line for a downtown Minneapolis hotel. Quiet - not overly busy when I was there.

I just had lunch at this restaurant with my mother and daughter. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was nobody at the Hostess desk, therefore, we let ourselves in. We sat down and a girl came after a little while. She asked if we had sat ourselves or if someone had shown us to the table. We said we... More

Our group had happy hour and snacks here recently and had good eats and fast service. The place itself is set in the ground floor of the Marriott Hotel which itself is converted from a 1908 bank building. This gives Max's a very gilded age sort of look with high ceilings, dark wood and marble. Very classy looking.

I've tried this restaurant on several occasions as I work nearby. I've not yet had a meal that was worth the cost. A turkey wrap will run $14 and a draft beer is $7. All of the items on the menu, with the possible exception of the crab cake sandwich) are overpriced. By overpriced, I mean that the quality of... More

After reading some of the reviews here and other sites, I was skeptical when my wife and I walked in at 7:30 on a Thursday night. When the first thing I noticed was the fact that there wasn't a single person seated in the restaurant, my thought was that this can't be good. As mentioned, the menu is sparse. Just... More

Went to lunch here today, worst $16 hamburger ever. Bun was dry and over toasted, the burger was overcooked , dry and flavorless. Save $13 and go to Burger King and have a better meal.

Limited menu, mediocre service. Loved the hotel, but the restaurant is not worth the bother. There are lots of other places that are much better values.

Lunch was okay but very expensive. I had the chicken blt with fruit, food was okay nothing special. One of my co-workers had the combo, soup and sandwich. She said the tomato soup was spicy. My other co-worker had a wrap, the dip was interesting it was avacodo and mayo dip. Average price of our meal was $12-$15 before tax... More

Ok food. BAD service. And it looks like that seems to be a common theme when reading prior reviews to mine. When your plate for pork tenderloins over beans is $25 and the bed of beans that makes up the bulk of the dish are hard and don't have the texture of properly cooked beans, one should say something to... The food is good. It veers more towards the comfort food / bar food. It's not anything to write home about but at the same time you aren't going to have a bad meal here.
